Rare Pop?

I have a Starlord pop that isn’t a bobblehead its a regular Vinyl Figurine. Do I have a rare screw up or just another regular pop?

Pictures would help greatly but Marvel Funkos are only Bobbleheads due to licensing

As soon as I can get some pictures of it I will post it. I thought that they were on bobbleheads though, but this one is definitely not a bobblehead.

Did you buy it off Ebay? and from China? Ebay is the #1 place for fakes.

Last time I saw a non bobble marvel pop it was a fake from China. Post some pictures when you get a chance.

I believe there has been one legit non-bobble Marvel POP and it was the Logan POP...I think. Could be off but I think there was a small run of the non-bobble Logans. Although I think the China theory is the most likely in this scenario, as stated above.

Yeah there is a Logan error non-bobblehead. Not sure if a starlord error exists.

Amazon allows 3rd party retailers to post stuff, so unless it was specifically noted as being "fulfilled by Amazon" then the origins can be quite dubious. They do have a good return policy though so if it does turn out to be bogus then you shouldn't have any trouble returning it though. But there is always that outside chance it's legit, so do post it up!

I'm very curious to know how to tell a real pop from a fake, especially if the bobblehead is not a factor.

Do you have the Funko box that it came in? All of the "normal" bobbleheads say vinyl bobblehead where as the non-bobble say vinyl figure. It might be a mistake from Funko or someone putting a head plug into the bobblehead so it's not a bobblehead.

I'm currently trying to locate the box I know I have it because I never throw those away. I moved recently and somethings got shifted around.

If this is a fake (which unfortunately seems likely considering it should be a bobblehead), it's almost scary how good it looks. For someone to go through this much trouble to fake a common Pop seems bizarre to me, but I guess it happens.

Hopefully, but if so, that's a pretty big error and I would wonder how many more might be out there like this. I can see certain spots not being painted (I've seen eyes not painted on Pops and stuff like that), but this would be an odd error. Pretty cool if it is.

there have been error Marvel vinyl figures which were supposed to be bobbleheads. Wasnt logan marvel #28 one of them?

If the listing that you purchased the starlord from said "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com"
It's more than likely an error than a fake.

What i do notice from the pictures though is that it has no ink stamp, which can be an indication of a fake.

I know lacking the stamp isn't always a sure-fire fraud, but my bobble-head Starlord has the white stamp on his foot.

It's fake. The real one has brown on the tops of the boots.

I don't have a Starlord to compare, but the left edge on the picture from the back looks rough.

Just heard back from funko and it is indeed a fake. So disappointed I definitely thought I had something rare. Oh well I'm now going to be very cautious as I make my purchases from now on. Thanks everyone for your inputs!

If you buy from Amazon, be very careful if you're buying from an individual selling stuff on Amazon, of fulfilled by Amazon themselves. I tend to stay away from Pop!s not being sold by Amazon directly, because there's usually something wrong. Mostly crappy paint jobs...

Dang. I always assumed Pops sold on Amazon would be fine, but I guess if it's a shady seller, you just never know. This is all very unfortunate, but hopefully a good lesson for all of us.

Yeah the problem is I bought it a long time ago before I really knew much about pops so I don't have the seller info but I learned a valuable lesson and it only cost me about $9.

Fake or real, I still think Marvel Pops would look better as Vinyl figures rather than bobbleheads.
