More MOTU?

I think the license is in a bit of a flux. Super 7 seemed to have it locked down, but sudd3nly Mattel is releasing exclusive figures at Power Con and SDCC. Go figure.

Seems like Super 7 might be done with MOTU in the near future. They announced that they will not have any He-Man or MOTU related exclusives for SDCC this year which is odd considering what a major part of Super 7 the MOTU brand has become.

If they are out of the game, at least they're going out with a bang with those MOTU movie figures. The Skeletors look so amazing, and I'm still hacked off that I missed out on them.

Didn't Funko once say it takes 6 months to make a pop? So maybe the Freddy as Mer-Man was agreed upon by Funko and Mattel before supposedly decided to remove the license?

Yeah, lots of the characters that were other Funko products but not Pops hurt (Prince Adam, Teela, Sorceress, Cringer, Panthor).

I am really hoping netflix stays true to the design of the characters but give it an awesome modern look like how they did Voltron. For me, I am not really feeling She-Ra but I get the fact they have to appeal to kids. I just don’t want to see this take a nose dive like He-man in the early 90’s. I am really excited that this is coming back. I just don't want to be disappointed.

Anyone else feel the same?

Yes I with you don’t change the formula that made you. It can be updated just not go overboard with it. Can’t wait to see what it looks like .

I guess if they just did some small tweaks like the last wave it could fit both.

I had to get Merman specifically because the license was lost and there is some changes to the face of Funko Freddy. It made it into my collection.

not going to lie. it looks amazing next to the he-man and skeletors. and i personally was glad it was a large release. not a 1/24

Same reason I got one! It's odd that we got a Motu Freddy given all of the license talk, but I'm glad we got one!

Yup, yup, yup! Nothing about the license was ever confirmed, speculation just became fact...and I guess these new figures don't bother Mattel and their plans with the new figure line, Netflix series, etc..

Good to see them though! Now bring me a Mer-Man Soda please! =D>

YES! Plus a Mer-Man Blue version. The Blue Dorbz was my first ever chase and I love the design so much.

Agreed! Blue version is my favourite...though I secretly want all kinds of colour variations for Mer-Man, even if they're not relevant or based on anything. 8-[
