You're absolutely right, I'm thinking about the 80's Blob. I remember putting my head down when walking through the horror section at Video Choice. That cover scared the crap out of me at age 6

Were you thinking of this cover?

Hmmm. I’d love to see a Blob movie moment. Not sure if a common pop would work. Sadly, I can see myself buying a red blob Funko made and then trying to explain to non-collectors why I paid $10 for a red blob made out of vinyl.

More 50's Horror Movies

Postby Brunodog » Sun Sep 08, 2019 12:17 am

Really like my classic horror movies pops and seeing that killer Klown pop was amazing. Now to really make me happy I'd like to see the last few 50's Horror movie icons, namely the blob, the fly and the original the thing (Though 80's one would also be cool). Any others?

I'd love that! I would definetly get a POP of The Fly and The Thing from Another World! If they got the rights to it, I'd love a Rhedosaurus anything, including a POP if it came down to it. There is very few merch. from Beast from 20,000 Fathoms. If we go back further and/or into Scif-Fi: Gort and Klaatu from The Day the Earth Stood Still, Maria (Robot)/Maschinenmensch from Metropolis, and Cesare and Dr. Caligari from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

Great choices. Hear way more people talk about Nosferatu over Dr. Calagari and I always wonder why. Both great films.

Classic horror film: Puppet Master pops?

Postby Trujitsu Ninja » Fri Sep 27, 2019 11:58 pm

In the mid 80’s horror films were on the rise with movies like Nightmare on Elm st, Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Around this time also there were some horror movies made that didn’t get that popular but had a steady cult following. One in case would be Killer clowns from Outer Space which have just recently gotten a pop. Not as popular as the other three movie I mentioned but nevertheless a cult classic. One movie i feel that flys under the radar is The Puppet Master, this movie has a good following. There are many characters over the course of the movie franchise that could be made into pops. Blade, Tunneler, Leech Woman, Jester, Pinhead and Torch are just some of the characters that would look cool as a pop. What are some of your thoughts fellow funatics? https://ibb.co/QCTNtx0

Ghoulies is another of those B rated horror flicks along with Critters that people forgot about. Funko needs a B horror movie line. They just made killer clowns so they can keep it coming with these pops. I mean come on we all love these movies. Puppet master, Ghoulies, Critters, Manic cop just to name a few. So can we get these Funko?

Puppet master definitely deserves a line I'd personally want to see Blade at the very least and for others Torch, and Tunneler. For other similar style horror movies I think Critters deserves a Pop as well.

I know what u mean. This movie made Puppets scary for me when I was about 8. Funny I’ve watched this movie multiple times over the years and as it gets older it gets more creepier.

I have been asking for a Puppet Master line for a long time. Im a huge fan of Puppet Master (actually have some tattoos of the puppets) and a bunch of other Full Moon properties. I would love a Demonic Toys line too.

I am the same way, I can't do horror movies but I know there's a lot of horror fans and there's a huge amount of characters that would look great in pop form. Hoping the fans get their favorites made but that won't get me to watch the Puppet Master any time soon.

Love horror movies. Just picked up the new Chucky Walmart Exclusive yesterday. I think they should release some more horror stuff every October. Keep expanding into the cult classics and eventually they’ll get to all of them that have a decent following.

Loved Puppet Master as a kid! It really stood out to me. It's funny, I don't consider myself as a HUGE horror fan these days (I tend to only watch them in October as a seasonal thing) but I did watch them a lot growing up.

The Jester would be sweet... but what about Pinhead? As a Funko Pop? Slightly larger, tiny head? :-k :-k :-k lol
