I'm honestly surprised these haven't happened yet. There is a ton of love for these characters. Would really like to know what happened in the meeting between Funko and McDonalds as it sounded like something couldn't be worked out. Hopefully whatever issue they had has been fixed.

I think you can buy the toys out right without buying multiple kids meal. I remember people doing this years ago. Not sure if it's anything anymore.

I think what happened was McDonalds backed out because they’re trying to move away from their “ad icons” because of all the trouble they got in for marketing to kids. Just like how all of the restaurants are going for a more modern look now.
