Favorite 8-bit Pop?

Postby jagpop » Fri Feb 09, 2018 12:09 pm

With more 8-bit Pops being released, which one has become your favorite? Today's Ninja Turtles sure do like nice but I'm going to have to go with NES Jason. Takes me back to hours and hours of playing that Nintendo game and hours and hours of frustration...lol.

I gotta go with 8-Bit Freddy Funko! Close 2nd is NES Freddy/Jason

I didn't think I'd like the 8-bit as much as I do, but they're growing on me. As far as overall best-looking, I have to go with TMNT.
WHAT AM I DOING?!?!?!

The Freddy is pretty cool. Have you noticed how heavy they are compared to a regular Pop?

Yes, they are much more dense. Probably due to the sheer amount of pieces they make these out of. Have you seen a disassembled 8-Bit? Looks like a 500 piece 3D puzzle...

All of the TMNT ones are great, though today's neon ones are fantastic, particularly Raphael and Leonardo.

I have the chase one but it wasnt much of a difference from the regular one. The chase was a little more "metallic" . Nonetheless, its cool. Not so sure about that Batman tho....

There are more and more to choose from everyday. I really like the Freddy 8-bit, as he looks like he has been working out =p

I think my favorite to Dig Dug though, as it fits so well.

Dig Dug is cool too. And the Batman ones came out pretty darn good. I had to get it since I love Batman.

See, NES Freddy & Jason, Mega Man and Dig Dug make absolute sense to be in the pixellated looking form. It's really a format that should be reserved for video game characters. Certainly not Stranger Things, ugh. Those are the most pointless 8-bits.

And the Batman should have looked like this, dang it!

I'd go with the TMNT, but will I buy them and add them to my collection? No. I love to see the pictures from other photographers/collectors,but I'm trying to stick to one kind of design and the Pop Vinyl form is it. They stand out on their own separate category.
