I agree with those choices, but Funko doesn't need the Nintendo license for those 3. Contra is Konami, Ninja Gaiden is Tecmo... now Team Ninja, and Double Dragon is now owned by Arc System works.

Donkey Kong, Mario, F-zero, Kirby, Zelda and etc..., hopefully Funko acquires the rights eventually lol

I feel like Nintendo is riding the Amiibo wave right now and have plenty of their own merchandise. Nintendo will be the last bastion to lend their licensing to Funko but what a glorious day that will be!

Dr. Mario is just an enhanced version of Tetris. Which is a lot of fun while you are taking a restroom break and have a Gameboy or a Switch.

I didnt even think about this and it now makes perfect sense. I think this is definitely the line of thinking. Unfortunately though with the Switch still gaining market share the amiibo is still a hot commodity. My local Gamestops have a hard time keeping them in stock.

I love how Funko likes to cater to more niche franchises so if Nintendo is ever a thing, I really hope that Earthbound gets made.

I'll wait to judge the 8 bit. Not a big fan of 8 bit but I have come across a few that are really cool. The Freddy 8 bits from last Fundays was the best I have seen.
