They already make tons of profit without licensing out their characters, so they really have no incentive to do so.

I don't think for businesses there is every such a thing as too much money. They do make money on figures they sell they can't make figures that look like Funko without getting sued and they would make a lot of money allowing Funko to sell their products. Do they need to do it? No but either did Disney. It's just more revenue. If they really don't want it to conflict with World of Nintendo then say no to the action figures. But the Pops and Dorbz?

I think it would be AWESOME to have Nintendo Pop!

However, I think Nintendo is pretty strict about licensing, especially the look. The Funko Pop! style might not mesh well with their overall branding mission.

HOWEVER, however... Funko is sure enough creative. Nintendo DOES license out figures and statues, so I can see Funko doing vinyl figures NOT in the Pop style, like they did for Cuphead! Maybe that's enough of a foot in the door to start the Funko + Nintendo = Funktendo relationship?

I don't know how popular the Amiibos still are, but if Funko did obtain the license for Nintendo products, I wonder if they would create some type of product involving both product lines?

yer i think the only thing holding this back is the fact Nintendo already have amiibos as an active collectable figure line. even though they are toys-to-life they would be splitting their consumer base doing both.

I think it's more of a dream for us. Nintendo is so picky with their stuff. It would be a massive hit for both parties though, so hopefully it can be worked out.
