Oh I do remember that! they had set up discoverwestworld.com last year too but I don't think it had anything to do with the offsite event (I could be wrong though). Thanks! I'll check out the others too!

It might end up not being related and people are just theorizing that it will be. I don't think they were related at all last year. I know it had nothing to do with the NYCC one.

No word on Westworld season 2 Pops I take it?

Akecheta in his Ghost Nation body paint would merit a figure regardless of whether he ever appears again. His story in season 2 was very important - and how often has Westworld dedicated an entire episode to one character as they did with him?

But aside from Akecheta, many of season 2's new characters were probably too transitory to merit getting a Pop figure (hello Emily goodbye Emily). And supporting characters who Funko already passed over in season 1 probably won't get Pops (sorry Elsie, Felix, Armistice, Ashley). Even Logan didn't make it. Since Logan was in season 2 even less his chances are low (though a William and Logan 2-pack would be nice!). Lee is in season 2 as much as he was in season 1, but again, Funko already skipped him. And no one will be clamoring for season 2's Karl Strand or James Delos.

So for another wave of Westworld Pops, who do we need who has commercial appeal? I'd say:

Akecheta, sometimes of the Ghost Nation tribe
Hector Escaton, Maeve's bandit boyfriend
Charlotte Hale, corporate bad gal
Drone, it wants you to get out of its way

But that list really lacks a main character to drive the sales, so, I think Funko will wait until we know what Dolores is wearing in season 3. Dolores wore a couple new outfits in season 2, including her modern dress (in both white and black, same dress that Angela wore), but it may make sense to hold back on Dolores until we see what she wears most of the time in season 3.

On your 491 Young Ford, is one of the face plates higher than the other? On mine the right side (his left) is higher and I'm not sure if that's on purpose or if they get glued on kind of randomly.

Honestly, I don't know if we'll get another wave of Westworld Pops. I think the first series did pretty poorly overall..they were shelf warmers for a long time. I still come across most of them on clearance at FYE and Box Lunch.

Unfortunately, I agree. I don't think that they need to do a big wave, but a few would be nice. I would also take a SDCC exclusive!
