Re: Largest Known Pop Collections?
I'm at around 800. I know that's peanuts compared to some collections. I slowed down a lot a year ago or so when I had 700. There's still around 300 on my wish list. And more coming out all the time.

Seen some pretty massive collections in the 5-6 years ive been around. For me personally i got to about 600 then had to make some choices to slim down. Just didnt have the room to display them all

I was one house LOL so basically she has one pop in the box behind the common or non chase which is displayed in front then she has a few floor to ceiling curio cabinets with the acrylic risers and the boxes are in storage in her attic
It's wild out of respect for her privacy I will let her post pics if she wants to

Yes they do take up real estate rather quickly once you start amassing them I have a combo of out of box and in box and have them in one room but need to build more units to contain it all taking a mind of its own

I don't have the room . I have a big dresser with 3 stacks 13 high and 13 across. So 507 which I rotate every so often. Then a shelf with 30 on display. Those are the ad icons and Universal Monsters. Then a ton in my closet that I switch out with dresser Pops occasionally. Its a lot but I have a good system. Im about to sell 100 or so and buy a few hundred more.

Funko does not retain one of everything they make, they never have. There have been so many very limited runs such as LE24's and LE12's that are in permanent homes and never come up for sale (or if they do the prices are extravagant) that putting together a complete collection of Pops would be an extremely difficult task indeed. And then there's Carol's 1:1 Freddy. I stop just short of saying it's "impossible", but it probably is impossible. It would take some VERY generous Pop donations from old-school collectors to make it happen.

Some pretty crazy numbers in here. I'm not sure how you have a collection that big and it doesn't just take over your entire house. Or maybe it does and they don't care?

Do you really believe that with the LE12 and LE24 that they really only made that number? I don't buy it. I say they make a few extra for the company to keep or give away to people they deem important.

I saw some funatic of the year featured that had at least 20K plus. And I don't think she claimed to have the largest collection.

There are enough serious collectors here that it's pretty easy to track such things and indications are that the numbers on the boxes are accurate. No legitimate "extras" have ever been known to surface.

You're right I remember watching comic book men and how they go to the pez company and how they show a museum of there pez, but you are so right it be so hard to get a hold of those pieces, maybe a photo of rare pieces or even have the collector loan the museum the piece we can only dream

Re: Largest Known Pop Collections?
What Hobie said.
I will say one interesting thing is a few years ago, seeing someone with a wall of POPs or hearing someone had a hundred or several hundred POPs used to be pretty wild (especially if they passed a thousand). It's crazy to think these days it's pretty common at least among Funko collectors to see the walls and hear numbers in the hundreds or even above thousand. Just kind of shows you how large the fan base continues to grow.
