2016 Golden Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompa 2 pack??!!

I just recently heard about the 2016 Funko Fundays Willy Wonka 2 pack. I also heard that only 4 were released at the Funday and there are only 10 in the world. And that the other 6 were either kept by Funko or given out to employees. If you know anything about this reply back because I am very curious about this Pop.

And I thought the 40 Gold hoppers that dropped this year was extremely limited

In previous years they have released more limited pieces. 1/24s, jumbo Freddys, and packs like these. I think they are trying to get away from from stuff like that at Fundays now.

I heard the last one sold for 14k to someone on Facebook. They Took them out of box and they look beautiful. I would LOVE to one day own the set!

The person you speak of who owns one of these in SD is a great guy. We recently had an event for SD Funatics and he was kind enough to bring this Golden Ticket 2-Pack (among several other insane grails) for other Funatics to see in person.

It’s possible the Gold Hopper hype made people look back through time and see what happened to previous super Limited golden oldies.

This was different give away. It was golden tickets in wonka bars. One person on my table got the golden ticket. These were individually numbered out of 10. I got to see one in person wish I took a picture of it.

In 2016 they passed out chocolate bars to everyone at Fundays. If you opened one and found one of four golden tickets within the wrappers you won a tour and a trip to the Funko offices. Along with that were one of the four two packs, I’m pretty sure the others weren’t handed out at the event.

I know someone who had a golden ticket and did not get the 2 pack. Though he did receive some fantastic swag when he did the tour.

As the event grew and the craziness over pieces grew, sadly. There was a time when people were standing on chairs and pushing and hitting each other to get prizes that were being thrown into the crowd.

15k would be nice but no way would I sell them with such a great grail to have but an even better experience to be able to always tell for the rest of your life. After that can pass them onto your kids for them to continue the story!

Well for this year it was a group of participants race to finish a can of corn, everybody wins something if you finish your can but the person who finishes first get something a little better.

I remember the China gold Wonka set and the person who bought it. Never came in box and the debate if it’s real or not since it technically came from the factory that made the gold Wonka
