Commons. Ugg. As much as I want every single pop that comes out, it’s just not possible. I find myself not buying commons and sticking with exclusives only when they come out. Except for those must haves... MHA for example and Golden Girls

Exactly - If something isn't vaulted its easy to get into the mindset that it will always be available and all to often that is not the case :'(

I will wait for a little bit to see if I can snag a sale on amazon (sometimes you can get them super cheap as add on items) or clearance from a store. Once six months or so goes by it doesn’t seem to happen I pull the trigger.

Re: Does a Pop! not being vaulted ever cause you to delay buying?
I delay buying some items not because they haven't been vaulted but because I think I can find a better deal at other retailers (most Australian retailers get all pops), but then I either forget and miss out or their are other must haves which I priorities for. Procrastinated over TMNT foot soldier and when I finally decided yes he was gone, purchased at a premium.

Unfortunately, the procrastinator in me forces me to do this. Unfortunately, that means I buy on ebay a lot.

All the time. But I feel like I am the 1% of collectors and will not buy something unless it's under $50.

I'm in the 1% also, pretty much if I can't get it at cost I pass. Though vaulting doesn't impact my decision.

Me neither, the only thing affecting my decision making process is "Do I want it?"

I never have that problem. I once worked with a lady that had 3-4 packages delivered at work a day. My guess is she had that problem

This is pretty much my line of reasoning, too - there are very few pops I actually want that can cost more than $150 and I haven't spent more than $45 on anything yet. Most of what I have I bought at retail price or secondhand at a reasonable price.

I buy what I want when I see it, usually, anything that I want, I already have and don't spend much in the secondary market. I have a couple of things that I missed that are expensive, but honestly, for a piece of plastic, there's no way I'm ever spending that much money.

Pretty much
If it's not going anywhere in the near future then I tend to save it for later (although often a bit too later)

Procrastination is my middle name so I constantly do this and have BIG regrets later. I am looking at you Rocky Pops.
Love to Collect the 80s stuff. Also chasing the OG Rocky Set. First Funko Purchase was 2012 SDCC.

I buy what I want as soon as I can because that allows me to enjoy it sooner. I guess I don't buy all that much otherwise, I could see how one might have to delay purchasing as long as possible.

Yeah. I still hurt inside when I see the Munsters set and Metaluna Mutant. I had em in my hands! I was just waiting for a good sale price and never got around to it.
Or did you think I'd be too stupid to know what a eugoogoly was?

Hahaha you have the impression that it is always going to be around or maybe you will go back and pick it up later - or wait until it goes on sale and then all of the sudden its not longer there. Thats kinda like how it was for all seven of Snow Whites Dwarfs. They were there forever. Now they are becoming exctinct - I'm like who is picking all these up I have a feeling the Marvel Chromes will be like that.

Well as of late it's near impossible to know if anything is vaulted unless it was before May 2018.

Thats one part of collecting I wish Funko didn't touch - I wish they still announced when figures were Vaulted. I feel like it is exciting and builds anticipation for whats to come.

I agree. It was hard enough when they announced the vault. Taking it away makes it impossible

Re: Does a Pop! not being vaulted ever cause you to delay buying?
Usually I always buy right there when I find it online or in a store, but sometimes I might be budgeting and feel like I shouldn't buy it now and save money, but when the time comes around where I want to get it I can't find it anymore. So it's a yes and no

I might have already commented on this, but I have been procrastinating on buying Parks and Rec pops. Then I went to go find them at HQ and there was one character left. I called nearly 10 stores and nobody had them. They all sold on clearance. NOW I can't find any for sale. Thankfully I landed a whole set in TRADE, but this one got out from under me. I need to keep up on them better. I am ready for when the Office comes out!

Been there before many times. I can remember when I saw the entire SpongeBob set AND the SDCC Spongebob TMNT set at my comic shop when they first came out. I kept passing on them to get the newer stuff coming out, should've done it.
More recently, Tenya from MHA.

Absolutely. It’s like a game of chicken some times. Who will budge first, me (by buying it) or Funko (by vaulting it)

To some degree yes but most of the time. I have impulsive by nature so if I find a pop I like I buy it right away without waiting

This happened to me with MHA also, I knew I wanted the set but didn’t have space/money at the time and when I did the pops were gone

No. If I like it I will buy it. Whether it is vaulted or not doesn't cause much of an issue for me. Also buying it before it gets vaulted doesn't make you be in a rush to get it before it goes up in price.
