I think you just answered your own question. MJ is an icon, licensing him has been an issue for decades (see every NBA video game made in the 90s). I remember even buying that really bad Bird vs Jordan video game because it was THE ONLY video game with MJ in it vs random bald guy in a Chicago Bulls uniform number 00 with all of MJ's stats .

Lol! - Well I think that a Jordan pop may now be on the horizon - I know for a fact that I will get every single POP in the Jordan Line in my hot little steamy hands. I need that for my collection. every one of them getting a hard stack as well.

It might just be a common and not necessarily an exclusive to B&N. I think the price listed under the place holder was the usual price they have for commons
