Metallic or Chrome?

The chrome seem more like statues to me ... which is okay.
The metallic are more "classic but enhanced" ... which makes them special ... or pop.

How about Metallic Chromed?

Honestly, I prefer Metallic (come on Funko if you're reading this do Metallic Chases) and I like Chrome for special occasion variants.

Metallic Chases are great but would be so painful to get. I did not mind one or two chromes but as many as they have made I think they played it out.

I say metallic, I especially like when the chase is metallic and you can compare a regular and metallic.

That being said, Chrome batmen are the best!

It really depends for me. Some metallics aren't really that distinct, but the chromes always are.

METALLICS! METALLIC! METALLICS!!! All the way! IMO there’s not much to the chromes. Freddy Funkos are cool. As for the rest, I’m really not into them. I’d take a metallic over a chrome any day.

Plus Funko is making too many chromes.

In fact it was the metallic pops that got me started in 2012 collecting pops when I could buy the sdcc ones cheap off amazon back in the day. I just like how the metallic ones look because you can keep the colors of the character but they still pop(lol no pun intended). Anyways just curious what you guys think?

Is it okay to find both boring? I mean I know that's NOT the question, but I seriously prefer.. color, variation over neon chromes and golds and silvers and etc... it's become boring to me.

Well with metallic you can still have color variation it just gives the pop a metallic look.

The problem with the chrome ones is it can be really difficult to get details when they are all the same color. Some of the Marvel ones are ok, but some are lacking since they are missing some distinction.

I'm feeling metallic at the moment. A lot of my personal grails are metallic, very few are chrome. Metallic Deadpool for the win ... LOL!

If I had to pick one, I would say metallic.

That being said, I really can't get into collecting either of them, because it reminds me of cash grabs of the 90's that went on in comic books, baseball and basically all trading cards, and toys before all those industries collapsed under the weight of their own greed while saturating the market. Foil insert cards, embossed comic covers, and the like. I spent a lot of money as a teenager buying the same thing with slight variations over and over. Those were the days. Lol

I actively dislike chrome stuff, myself. I've never liked that look on anything, really. Even Transformers, haha. I like metallic stuff a lot.

Looks like metallic it is then! Yeah, I too, prefer metallic over chrome. I mean, that metallic skeletor from the new gemini exclusive just pops with color and detail. Some pops look good in chrome like the new Thanos, but metallic all the way!

Definitely metallics as we get more details! When they first started doing chromes that was pretty nice as well but just too many of them now that it dilutes the uniqueness.
