Which Mundane Pop Has Surprised You With It's High Price and/or Popularity?

Recently masked Ochaco. I remember that the funimation booth at sdcc didn’t sell out all 5 days.

Yeah I remember it was not a hard pop to get and I had multiple opportunities at it but always passed

Same. I even vaguely remember a special on them on Sunday. Now that my daughter has gotten into MHA she reminds me all the time how I passed Masked Ochaco up at SDCC.

If it makes you feel better, I remember thinking about getting a nearly headless ned and passed that up

All of the first to market pops always surprise me. It's just a sticker that makes a huge difference. I never understand that.

Kind of blanking on it, but I can’t remember any first to market pops besides the powerpuff girls that one year..

Genos for me. That pop was basically, "Who cares." for a LONG TIME. the moment he was vaulted and the resellers and collectors found out. It sold out every where.

Genos and Lord Boros from One Punch. Kept skipping on getting them and they have shot up recently

Probably just some hype since they were just recently vaulted, and people are riding on the anime hype brought by DBZ and MHA lines.

Yup. This anime is great and really funny, not the same fan following as MHA or DBZ though, just look at the cosplays. Not many people want to cosplay wearing a bald cap or shave their heads haha. Ill get the last two Genos and Lord Boros when the hype dies down

Lol since I started collecting in 2011, I’ve passed up on a ton of what we call grails today. It seems so cheap now but back in the day it was crazy to spend even a hundred on a pop

For me, it's Yennefer from the Witcher line of POPs. I have no idea why she's exploded in terms of value, other than she's vaulted. Nothing too outrageous, but considering that it''s a gaming line and has more of cult following than a general popularity following.

Few years back I went to sdcc and picked up some dredges like a flocked lion-o that wasn’t selling. Gave it to a friend. I looked it up a few weeks back and it’s INSANELY expensive now. I love flocks now and don’t have one of my own
