What POP! Do you think will be hard to find when it vaults?
What Funko POP! Do you guys think will be hard to find when it vaults? With the recent event of Tenya from MHA being nearly impossible to find. I want to know the POP! that are out now that you think will be difficult to obtain when they vault. My vote right off the bat will be Ultra Instinct Goku as well as Todoroki from MHA. I also gotta cast my vote for the new Biggie Wave as well.

I think the destiny ones have potential. I think they are underrated as it is and once they are gone when they make more waves people might want the originals. There are a lot of destiny fans who might not even be aware of them yet which opens up a whole different market.

Any Pop once it vaults will be hard to find. Seems like MANY of the newer Funko collectors collect more for value than as a hobby.

I can agree with biggie set, but i wonder if MHA will still even be hyped as much then when it gets vaulted. I mean i joined the MHA bandwagon not too long ago, but as awesome as it was in the beginning for me, im not as amped up as i was before. I was so close to dropping the cash for the SDCC Ochaco and Funimation All might but im just not feeling the urge to anymore, im fine with the commons.

Destiny and DBZ both seem like good guesses. Maybe some of the Kingdom Hearts, too.

Oddly enough I think the original Dragon Ball Pops are indeed vaulted. Im talking about piccolo, vegeta, krillin, and frieza but they all are minimal value which is really odd considering how big of a property Dragonball is. It seems as if the new wave of dragon ball pops have more value then the older ones.

Specifically the common jack jack.
With all the variations it has I feel the common got overlooked and will be really tough to find as it was under appreciated.

I think many will claim they only collect what they like, but will still hold the value of their pops as important. This value vs collecting thing doesnt have any merit as no old pops will be sold for retail price it is always a markup to their market value The value is a huge part of Funko. There is a sell/trade section on this site, and many of the sales are from older collectors, and not for retail/what they paid.
Your kidding yourself if you think value isnt a big part of the pop boom. Rereleases, and oversaturation of market are the real issues here.

I know in my small sample area alot of people have been trying to get venomized hulk and black panther. I think alot of none collector's picked up the hulk just because it looked cool and the ghost rider/Loki hype caused alot of people to overlook the black panther release at gamestop.

I'm not saying value has no part of Pops. As with any product, its value is what makes a company successful. The topic of this thread is "What POP! Do you think will be hard to find when it vaults". I am simply answering it with some truth that some of the newer collectors collect Funko more as an investment rather as a hobby. And with that any Pop they see with extra value as a vaulted Pop would be, will instantly be scooped up and become "hard to find".
Please don't change the subject of the thread. You can always make a new topic to debate "value vs. collecting"

I personally think Jurassic Park pops might be harder to find once vaulted. Having trouble finding these even now, and even at conventions with a lot of pops. They seem to be incredibly popular, and I get it because the dinosaur molds are super cool. Thats why im trying to get all the pops in that set before they inevitably go vaulted.

Absolutely agree. I know it's fun to see your collection grow in value. But a lot of people these days are only interested in Chase and Exclusive stickers more than the figure and license itself.

Seems like secondary characters that don't always get multiples in the assortment end up becoming harder to find once they stop making them, and is compounded when the show/movie/game takes off and characters rise in popularity.

Hey, all good. Was just correcting your line about only new collectors being concerned with value, as all collectors are concerned with value.
All vaulted pops that are of a good character will be worth more.

I believe that some of the ad icons will be somewhat hard to find. It's probably going to be a case where they will be super expensive that will discourage collectors from hunting for them though.

Those figures have been around for quite a long time and they’ve had plenty of restocks before. They probably just have a lot of leftover stock but not enough demand because of all the new DBZ releases. We’ve had so many this year it’s been sort of hard to keep track of them all.

I can agree with that - They aren't worth much now but that whole entire set was gone from the stores within about 1-2 days in my local stores. I literally seen the entire set being purchased from top to bottom. I can easily seeing that entire set becoming grails by the time the next movie with the next set drops (because Incredibles 3 is def coming)

I think that there will be tons of new AD Icons that are released. I think that Tony Tiger is going to end up being a holy grail as it already is pretty up there. I also think that Trix, Cuckoo and Lucky will be up there as well as the new Cereal Ad Icon set. - Each year is going to boost the previous years Ad Icons up. Just look at Yummy Mummy and Fruit Bruite. Crazy prices !

When last season ends I I think we will see a jump in value. I think it will come down and even out until the prequels hit.
