I know a buddy who has done something like this with his wife. His wife isn't a collector (but doesn't give him t hard time about his collecting) but he has bought her a few things to make it fun for her too. She loves certain Disney princesses and Wonder Woman so he has acquired pieces like that for her and she really appreciates them.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I gave it a shot. Definitely received well but we will have to see how it turns out in the longer term!
