The Madame Leota Pop is an exceptionally cool design. But I am not about to spend the money on that event.

We might do it, even though we have to fly and get a hotel

Actually, according to Disney - it debuts there. Who knows if it will be released otherwise.

The event doesn't sound that bad, if I collected pins I'd probably be more motivated

Re: Haunted Mansion 50th anniversary
Honestly, as much of a die hard Haunted Mansion fan I am (it is literally my favorite ride at Disneyland), I just can't justify spending $300 a head to take my family. If the pop was forsure and confirmed only available at the event, maybe I'd consider it, but eeshhh Disappointed in Disney's execution of this, TBH.

Is anyone else in the waiting room to see if you can get tix? Still not sure I want to shell out the cash but going to see what my chances are anyway.

Re: Haunted Mansion 50th anniversary
I couldn't do it. My brother went to the Superhero After Hours Party and HATED it. He said that for what he had paid, Disney could have done more. Mind you it was about half of this ticket price. But, food and merch were NOT included. Those are all additional purchases. I really LOVE the Haunted Mansion and wanted to buy a ticket but I just don't want to pay that much only to have to buy my food, pray I get selected in RSP for what I want, and then the killer would be if the items I want end up being sold at the parks after the event. I'm an Annual Passholder so if need be, I'm willing to go to the park myself after and buy what I like.
Based on some calls I made to Disney staff, this is mostly an after hours event. The whole 1 am - 4 am in the park thing is just too late for this working professional. I already know that those "wishable" plushes will be sold in WDW. If that is the case, then I'm saving my $300 for something else.

These tickets are still available $300 for an event is ridiculous and everything I want will probably be available after the event in the parks. I just hope the pop is still there a week later when I go to D23 but I highly doubt it.

I think the event is worth it if you're really into all of the stuff they'll have. It is a little too much for me personally but for huge fans it's kind of a unique experience that you probably won't have come around again. They should probably make the merchandise all limited just to the event also to incentive the price I think.

Thankfully that event was less than half the cost of this one. It wasn’t pretty to lose that $ but it helped me make the decision not to buy tix for this event - even if I LOVE hm!

Re: Haunted Mansion 50th anniversary
I look at this event a little differently ... I was at Disneyland Monday. Extremely crowded (as most days are). The cost of a ticket is about 150.00 now (though I used a Disney pass). Only 999 people in attendance for the party and some great rides are open (Pirates of the Caribbean; Tiki Room; Indiana Jones; Big Thunder). So, to me, the extra 150.00 is well worth it because celebrating the haunted mansions 50th; limited number of people means short or no lines; and the opportunity to purchase some neat collectibles. Hope to see some Funatics there.

Yeah leave it up to Disney to find a way to keep taking our money. I know that as an annual passholder prices go up, and I still bite z. I hope they release some variant as a disney parks exclusive.

My buddy has been telling me about how awesome the 40th anniversary event was for years - this is a huge disappointment in comparison. It's basically a stripped down version of the Halloween party for far more money with the added incentive of more mansion-exclusive merch as an option.

A majority of the items are not LE so they will show up in the parks at DL and WDW after the event. It was stated in the Parks Blog post
