Most people see Marilyn as just a sex symbol, but she was so much more. She was as beautiful inside as she was out. A sweetheart with a troubled past which made her relatable.

Fun fact: It was because of Marilyn that singer Ella Fitzgerald got her big break. Ella wasn't allowed to sing at this very popular nightclub cuz she was black. Marilyn called up the owner and told him that if he booked Ella, she'd be there every night in the front row (Marilyn told him that she'd attract allot of press to the nightclub just by attending). And she did. Even though Marilyn knew that supporting a black entertainer back then would be controversial - possibly resulting in her core fanbase abandoning her - she didn't care. She knew Ella needed a chance to be heard. :angel1:

Yes, I was aware of the Ella connection which is great. I am sure she was a sex symbol in her time with being the first cover model of Playboy I get that. And I have seen her movies she was not really a gifted actor but I am sure she was a great person but I would not know since I never knew her personally :-)

Her eventual fate is certainly a sad one and one that will forever be left as a controversial debate. But form a toy perspective I think the Rock Candy format would suit her legacy very well.

Yeah, it must be a license obstacle. That would be a VERY cool pop. So many options and opportunities with Marilyn. That would be one classy pop with the diamonds!

I do like the movie some like it hot, but was not a big Marilyn fan. That being said she is an icon so, she should definitely have a pop. I hope you get it!

I was just talking about this on another thread...historical, I think. I would love to see them do several versions of her..but even one would be great!
