A Pop of Katarina Witt in her iconic Carmen costume would be awesome!

She posed for Playboy in 1998, and her issue became only the second in history to completely sell out (second to Marilyn Monroe's).

I wouldn't know where to begin regarding the lines of pops out there of things that I've never heard of. Seemingly random anime, video game and movie characters have their own lines, so I don't see why figure skating should be treated any different. It's always the most watched event at the winter olympics. And Yuri on ice (an anime show about skating) has its own pop line.

not for me, but i'm not against the idea. I just think the difference is that anime, random movies and video games tend to have more of a built in collector base with their fans where as I'd have to imagine the demographic that is huge into skating isn't likely to be toy collectors as often.

I think you kinda nailed it on the head though.. How often do people watch figure skating outside of the Olympics? Unfortunately, it's not a main stream sport in the United States. Heck, Tony Hawk is the first skateboarder to get a Pop and there are arguably TONS of people who've at least tried it, so why not more Pros?

"Random" anime, video games and movie characters are honestly probably reaching more people on a more consistent basis.

It'd be really cool to see Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Tonya Harding lol

, etc or any other high profile athlete, but IDK how well it would actually do.

I think if they were to target more niche sports, Shaun White or Michael Phelps are pretty household names at this point. Heck, Dave Mirra for BMX or like another thread mentioned, Tennis players Roger Federer or the Williams sisters are good candidates too.
