What POP! do you think Funko should VAULT?

Does anyone know what causes a pop to be chosen as becoming vaulted? I'm curious!

This has been asked for years and there has never been a clear answer. The most logical explanation I've ever heard is that Brian throws darts at a board, blindfolded .

Considering it's still gathering dust on my local Walgreens shelf, absolutely.

This makes a little sense but its funny to know that once pops get vaulted, a lot of times, more people want them (I guess people want what they can't have..but as a retailer, I feel like its more of a "did I miss out on a good order")

It's an artificial rush that lasts a week or two and things go back to normal. The reason things get vaulted in the first place is nobody wants them. It's the people who kept thinking about it and never pulling the trigger that get ripped off in the post-vault rush. Just get what you want when you see it.

Same, I don't think I've ever paid attention to that list. If I want something I get it, if I didn't want it makes no difference to me if it sits on a shelf!

Same here. I used to track which Pops got vaulted so if there were any on my want list, I'd just go get them, but since Funko stopped announcing it, I don't care anymore.

Yeah if it was something you wanted that got vaulted, itd be a sort of last chance alert to get it.

MASSIVELY agree with all of this. It used to be so much fun to track down the random piece here and there that I’d been putting off for whatever reason before they disappeared.

People keep saying “just grab what you want when you see it”, . When you collect as many different lines as I do, you have to be judicious and careful not to overspend. I try to take advantage of as many sales as I can and sometimes certain Pops get put off until I can grab them in some kind of combo deal or with Hot Cash or something.

If the Vault was still being regularly updated, it’d be a lot less stressful trying to plan out things like that.

Speaking of the vault, still pretty bummed Funko stopped releasing publicly what did get vaulted. That was always my opportunity to grab those pops that I had been putting off.

Do you know if theres a place to view a list of vaulted pops? Is there some kind of repository or listing somewhere?

LOL! Yes - I see like 60 of those everytime I go to the HT Clearance section to see what they have to offer. It never changes.. Its always West World, Valerian and Arseface. I always think to myself.. When will the clearance section change

Outside of the hot releases,that usually dont make it to the regular toy isle anyways, most of our Walgreens have dust collecting pops. It amazes me that they never put these on clearance.

It WAS fun!! That’s why I keep asking Funko both here and on their social media Q&As about updating their Vault page. Ever since it got reformatted last year, it’s been next to impossible to use. And like we keep saying, it NEVER gets updated anymore.
