I kind of feel the same way. I love history but didn’t really want to see history pops, largely because a lot of our most iconic historical figures were a part of very serious events that makes it kind of awkward to have cute vinyl versions of them made, or met really tragic and violent ends. With that said I don’t have any problems with the first history pops they chose and they seem to be well done.

I agree, American history has definitely NOT been pretty most of the time. It is pretty awkward to think of owning a pop when that person was involved in some serious or controversial events. I just feel like they're too serious and real to be made Pops.

However, Rosie the Riveter looks awesome, and I have a much more positive association with her than other historial figures. I would also buy a JFK pop, but I think that might be it.

Yeah I know what you mean, part of me is like i kind of don't want to see certain historical figures made because I fear some insensitive person might customize a "bloody" version which would be just horrendous. I agree, Rosie the Riveter turned out awesome. I would even like a Bert the Turtle from the government duck and cover videos. Stuff like that would be cool.

Totally agree. Making history Pop!s is a bit risky.

Human history is definitely marked with horrible acts and tragedy. I like this first wave though, and there are a number of beacons of change and positivity that can be made.

I think overall this line has the potential to bring in new young collectors and can help spark some educational learning topics in schools. Funko needs to join hands with some schools and donate some of these historical figures

It may be a move in the positive direction .. im sure they will some how be implemented in the school system some how. Educational practices will prolly use them the most.

Others have mentioned him, but Ernest Hemingway is my top pick. Favorite author, hands down.

Of course! Funko is careful and has good intentions. I'm confident they'll choose great history moments. Hopefully the interpretation of the audience won't go too crazy.

They'll look great on history teachers' desks! If only I was still in high school...I'd totally buy them all one!

Haha it will at least help the history teachers curriculum seem more fun.
