Yeah I think so. The stores already have got merchandise displays. The one in San Francisco actually had a bunch of stuff like a night king cutout and iron throne.

I think we may need to adjust our thinking of what Funko products are. They have gone beyond just collectibles at this point. They are part of the effective advertising experience for any pop culture release. Whether it is movies, TV, games, etc... It is a good way to advertise and get a fanbase excited for an upcoming release.

Yeah I saw this and find it interesting. I think Funko is now just part of pop culture, and not just a collectible company. I am happy though they still put these events on at cons to keep their foundation in place in terms of the collectible aspect.

I've said for years that Funko needs to figure out what they want to be when they grow up. I think they are evolving what this is as we speak. I'm not sure I'm completely on board with their direction, but as long as they continue to make great collectibles, they will continue to get some of my disposable income.

I'm not completely on board either with their current direction. I'm glad Funko is growing and will continue to buy pieces I want for my collection, but it's not hard to see the flaws. They're releasing new stuff at breakneck speed, have too many retailers botching exclusive releases, and collectors face too many obstacles just trying to get pieces they want. I couldn't imagine trying to start a collection in 2019 and attempting to understand how everything works. I just feel like they are simultaneously turning off older collectors and new ones alike.

I feel like we've officially witnessed Funko jumping the shark. It's a cool Pop and I hope people that truly love GOT and collect the line are able to get it, but this seems like a stretch and really unnecessary.

I know there are no details a out release (stores or online) yet, but apparently some AT&T stores have already been selling GOT Pops.

I think they're way beyond jumping the shark my friend...they are now a publicly traded company & whoever they are in bed with and what they produce shouldn't seem like a stretch at all. We like to still think of them a certain way and they do have nods to the way things were done for years, but let's be real, this is a universe away from what Becker started in 98 in Snohomish & a far cry from what Brian brought it to just 5 years ago...I like the piece, I will seek it out...
