Stephen King - Icons and Movies

Postby Brunodog » Fri Mar 29, 2019 4:13 pm

First of all, I think that Stephen King would make a great Icons Pop! and I would not hesitate to buy him. Second of all, I'd like to see more of his movies getting the pop treatment including:

Cujo - Cujo
The kids - Stand by me
Annie Wilkes, Paul Sheldon and Hobbling scene - Misery
The cast + John Coffey getting electrocuted scene - The Green Mile
The cast - Shawshank Redemption
Carrie Destroying prom scene - Carrie
Young Bathtub Lady, Old Bathtub lady and Dick Halloran - The Shining
Well I honestly like pretty much anything to do with pop culture soooooo... :colors:

I agree, in the same theme since they have George RR Martin I could see them doing other famous Authors as well. King, Twain, Hemingway, Rowling, RL Stine and even a Tolkien!

But yes more of King’s characters as well!

He’d be a great icon/directors pop for sure!! If it’s not already in the works, i’d be quite surprised if he wasn’t made into a pop. Perhaps a con exclusive in the near future?

It would bring more exposure for him and the fans (if he did horror cons and book cons) as well since everyone would want it signed!

If they ever re-make The Stand into a TV series or movie there would be tons of characters that could be made into Pops. I'd definitely pick up a Trashcan Man!

Steven King is one of my favorite authors. The imagination of this man is extraordinary. I can only guess, what is next for him. What other ghoulish tale is he dreaming of? I would definitely buy there pops.

Completely forgot Christine! I doubt they'd do Lawnmower Man. It's pretty unpopular and didn't even have much in common with the book! But I guess you can ask for it if you want ;-)

Lawnmower Man is unpopular? That's the first time I've ever heard that one...I love it and I know a lot of other people who did as well.
Interesting...

However, unpopular or strange pops have been made before, so we'll see. :D

I know not a Stephen King book but his son Joe Hill should get the pop treatment for his book NOS4A2. Saw AMC's pilot episode of NOS4A2 at Wondercon and it looks like an awesome horror show with lots of interesting characters.

I think you'd have to do a Pop! scene type of thing for Misery. Him in the bed, and her standing over him.
