I wonder how long they lasted each day. I saw they are doing the next celebration in Anaheim next year. They must be trying to cash in on the opening of Star Wars land and doing it on back to back years. I'll definitely be hitting that up next year. You should head down.

Don't they do it every year? If it's in Anaheim, I'll definitely go and I can check out Galaxy's Edge during that trip too.

And I guess the lottery system was not great this year. Plus badges are 2x the price of SDCC. It's pretty pricey. But I'll be there next year. Haha.

2017 was Orlando. I'm actually happy they are breaking the every other year tradition for 2020 and that it is in Anaheim. Total tie-in to Galaxy's Edge being open at DL plus it's the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back - only a celebration of the BEST MOVIE EVER MADE

Yeah I heard a ton of people weren't able to get into any of the panels they wanted to this year.

I just looked it up. They have been all over the map with these haha. 5 and 6 were in Orlando. In 2011 and 2012. They have been 1 to 3 years apart with some really random locations. I went to the one in 2015 in Anaheim. It's a good time. But hard to justify the 5 day pass unlike SDCC. They do have a ton more content now so maybe they can fill 5 days with worth while panels and exhibits.

I'll still go in Anaheim next year.

Definitely agree. It looks like they tie them to movie releases but next year will be the first not tied to a release. But you're right they will have some cool merch for sure to celebrate 40 years after Empire. I also agree it's the best ever made. Should be a good time for sure.

Well at least anaheim is more accessible in terms of hotel and travel and san diego. You have a lot more options on places to stay and you can go farther out without it making too much of a difference. Plus disneyland - 'nuff said.

Yeah I think the opening of Star Wars land played a big part in the decision to have another one. Plus I think they want to get the word out about their plans for the future of the franchise.
