The Hot Topics in my area have been posting cryptic messages to Instagram since yesterday. Apparently they are opening early on Friday for a special Funko release. Any heads up on this? Are we thinking Dark Phoenix?

Really? Midnight for shared exclusives? THats some heavy dedication. I’d rather pay the 10/$12 over retail for one and stay in bed for 6 hours

I’m surprised homeless people don’t get in the game and make some money holding spots. There sleeping outside anyways so why not make a few bucks

If these are all gonna be released on the same day, it would be pretty worth it to line up or even camp out! Surely people are gonna go for the GITD chase Dark Phoenix first.

Welp, just checked on Amazon, Dark Phoenix Pops from preorders aren't shipping til 11th of May, which I assume is the street date. Following this logic, the exclusives might not be released til next month.

Some Hot Topic stores in California just posted that they got in Dark Phoenix soo maybe some are releasing her tomorrow as well. I'm still certain the early opening tomorrow is for SWC though.

Oh I see, didn't notice that. Yeah the SWC release is probably the main reason for the early opening, maybe some stores will try to hit 2 birds with 1 stone by releasing other exclusives as well.

Anyway it's all just pure guesswork til doors open tomorrow

Oh yeah one more note - some retailers in Seattle already have the common Dark Phoenix in stock so I think Amazon is just behind with their dates unless they really aren't getting them for a month.

Man, I want Watto as much as the next guy, but I don’t feel the need to camp out for him. I’ll check into a store sometime in the afternoon. If I don’t get one, I’m sure there’ll be one at the next Pop Swap I hit up.
