2019 SDCC Funimation Exclusive Pop guesses?

No worse than the Nickelodeon booth the year before last where I literally had to help a guy (who was nearly trampled) put his prosthetic leg back on...that year it was Glow in the Dark Baxter...no worse than the mad dash to Funko before the lotteries, etc. Let's not talk about the rush to the Mezco booth, etc etc etc...all this stuff happens at SDCC whether it's a Funko piece or not. I don't disagree it's a madhouse but this is not unique to people hunting pops...

Absolutely right. It is not just a Funko thing. It can be a SDCC thing. I've seen some crazy stuff at the Marvel booth, heck...even the Hallmark booth on Preview Night.

It's not a Funko thing, or a Funimation thing. It's a "people refusing to act like adults because all they see are dollar signs" thing.

Very true. I had a guy asking each person in line what they were getting. Then he offered to buy your Whis at $40.

Saying that the booth was pretty bad last year was an understatement. I tried and tried to get over there to help out a friend, but they kept being closed, then they changed the policy, then I almost got trampled, and then there ended up being fake tickets. It was the Wild West over there!!!

It was a dangerous place to be. The fire marshal ended up closing them down at one point because of the crowd and fighting. It was terrible....

Wow. I applaud you for helping the person with the prosthetic leg. I probably would have stopped too. I stopped dashing towards places. Most of the time, I get in there ahead of a lot of people and the lines are capped already.

While I am not a fan of lotteries, I think it would be best for this booth. Last year was a total mess/crazy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they give out tickets at one point? I thought I remember someone saying they had a ticket and could get in the booth a lot easier.

They gave out tickets when they shut down the booth. But that was the only tickets that I know of.

With a little over 2 months away from San Diego Comic Con I've noticed Funimations line getting bigger and bigger every year. That being said, what's your guess on their exclusive this year?

Seeing the 7 foot silver All Might at Dallas Fan Expo makes me believe that could be their exclusive this year; a chrome pop of All Might.

What do you guys think?

The funny thing is I thought my chances of getting the exclusive were dead because I stopped but turns out security saw the whole thing go down and actually placed he and I at the front of the line because of the fact that he'd been knocked down and I stopped...so sometimes it pays to do the right thing and help someone. The other ironic thing is the following year (last year) those same security guards were working the Funimation booth & remembered me for helping the guy. I didn't have to wait in line for Funimation last year

Eventually I ended up getting a WHIS pop (on Sunday) but before that and in my foolishness/desire to get one I bought a "fake" ticket from somebody. I guess at one point they distributed little paper tickets to come back and purchase the pop later and they ended up being heavily faked.

Sort of the same thing happened to me, I went thru the sails pavilion got my ticket and noticed a person was signing them, and mine wasn't signed so I asked and she accused me of cheating and I said I was just in line and asked if they were all signed, she finally signed but it was a headache and I followed directions, guess they kept changing the ways they were marking them each day.

If they do a lottery, I’d like it if they could give an option to those who don’t win the lottery a chance to get the pop while at the convention. Perhaps make the lottery for all days except for Sunday. It sucks enough that not everyone can win the lottery, but it sucks more knowing that they’ll likely have a lot of leftover stock that non-lottery winners can buy.

I like the lottery because you don’t have to camp out but I also don’t like the lottery because it gives you 0 percent chance to get in if you lose the lottery.
