Re: Favorite Pop Variant
I've always been a big fan of metallic since the og chase ones. They have always caught my eye and I am digging the newer ones!

Man this is a tough one... I think I have to go with Metallic Biggie. I'm a west coast guy and a big Tupac fan, but Metallic Biggie is fire.

Glow in the Dark for sure! Intrigued about the scented versions but they haven't made one that's within my line. Don't like flocked much since it gathers dust and hard to wash off when put on shelf display for long.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the colorways variants. I really enjoy the recent Mickey Mouse colorways and I know quite a few other animated characters have had colorways chases.

This whole Mickey set was awesome to collect. I really enjoyed the 10 inch ones. Good call.

Re: Favorite Pop Variant
Looks like GITD's are the most popular variants. With a decent blacklight to charge up the glow, I can see why.

Anyone have an idea for a new type of variant? I'd love for Funko to spice it up one of these days!

Aside from reviving black and white variants, which aren’t common these days, I can’t really think of anything “new”. Any suggestions, Julie?

I was thought the next step would be for Funko to use a paint that changes color based on temperature. That would definitely make for some interesting variants

This is a great idea! It totally reminds me of those old Hypercolor shirts from the 90s that changed color based on heat.

Big fan of Glow in the Dark, when they glow. Sometimes, a little underwhelming.

I’m torn between flocked and metallic.
I love the flocked but don’t like displaying them oob. Dust gets caught on them too easily.

Re: Favorite Pop Variant
I like appropriate GITD and metallics. Robots for example (the metal ones anyway) make sense for metallics. Even though the recent 6" Voltron one was god awful. The only reason I got the Tron chases was because I love Tron. Metallic versions of them didn't really make a ton of sense to me. The GITD Murloc was another one where I was like, "Why?" but I bought it anyway because I wanted to 100% the Murlocs, heh.
Or did you think I'd be too stupid to know what a eugoogoly was?

Oh my gosh, this is everything and seriously an awesome idea! It's just like the shirts "hypercolor" that were tie dye and changed color upon touch...this was the rage in 1989 when I was in 5th grade.

That would be cool. Is it like the mermaid looking paint? It looks like one color (say purple) than gets in the sun and changes to another color. I'll have to Google to see if it's like what I'm thinking it is. Either way it sounds amazing and different.

I am a big fan of anything Metallic variant. Just something cool about seeing the special paint color on the metallic version vs a common

I have yet to own a flocked Pop! but I'm hoping to add Bunny and Ducky to my collection eventually to change that.
