Video Game Icons?

I know they already have a Funko Icons line, but the more I think about it, the cooler I think it would be to have a specific line for video game icons. Gaming is a massive business and if we can get movie directors, then why not some of our favorite gaming personalities? For the sake of avoiding controversy I'd omit any and all streamers (Dr Disrespect/Pewdiepie). Here's a solid start:

Reggie Fils-Aime
Hideo Kojima
Shigeru Miyamoto
Gabe Newell
Notch
Hironobu Sakaguchi

I almost dropped Todd Howard on my list and I think Schafer is a great addition too.

I get the argument that people would be confused by maybe some generic looking Pops of random people but having them rock shirts with game logos or holding something like Shigeru Miyamoto holding a Mario coin block would help.

I don’t think that’s a bad thing and it’s one of things I really like about Funko. In addition to mainstream franchises they also make pops for small, and usually very passionate, fan bases.

Maybe it will also help people look into that person and could bring new fans to the franchises they have created. I wasn’t familiar with Taika Waititi before SDCC last year and I was curious about why they’d make a pop of him. That led me to ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ which was fantastic (and of course Thor).

Kojima would be amazing to see.. wonder if he would come with a Stealthy Mode as a chase?
