Regional Representation Pops?

Postby daveruby » Sun Oct 13, 2019 6:21 pm

What if there were Pops that represent each country? For example, the U.S. would have the Statue of Liberty. What would the other countries have that represent themselves?

Singapore already has the Merlion Pop! Can't think of anything else that could be turned into a pop for my small country (it's pretty much buildings)

Maybe even more specific with some state-themed POPs. Like Tom Peterson and Ramblin' Rod for the Portland/ PNW area

That'd be cool. Maybe do something around the 4 of July.

Would definitely be down for that. A funko shop drop near the 4th or something.

Merlion and Statue of Liberty Freddy are pretty good examples of this already.

I would even say that Tossakan and Hanuman for Thailand are pretty iconic as well as. Aswang for the Philippines too.

It would be cool to see Freddy take on more regional costumes, like we saw in the Making Fun movie. Egyptian Freddy, Buckingham Palace Freddy.. etc.

I love regional pops. This is a great idea unless they are exclusive to the region in which case i would have to be against it because i would be broke

I really like that regional costume Freddy idea. They did already do the astrology sign Freddys so I have hope these can happen in the future.

These would be great. So many options but it would be too tempting to have to have all of them not matter what they are. Lol

For Canada, it'd be be a beaver holding a jug of maple syrup lol.

I do think a Canadian themed Freddy would be super cool though - where he's holding a hockey stick in one hand, and a jug of maple syrup in the other!

I like this idea. It'll bring more awareness to Funko on a global scale and people would be proud to own their countries representative
