Good re: Buckbeak, that would be really disappointing if he didn't stand well on his own!

Terrible news about the Patronus pop though! What's he been doing, skipping leg day at the gym??? Seriously though...it's such a beautiful pop, and it's so frustrating when they don't stand on their own! I'm getting way too used to using quake hold, or masking tape, or 3m strips to make my top heavy pops stay upright!

That's some dedication actually using other strips to get them to stand up right. For me, I'm just like ok, I guess you weren't meant to be out of the box. It just sucks when they make some of the pop heads too big for their tiny bodies. I do like the stand they include for some of them - even though some of them hold up well on their own too. I also once got a stand that didn't even line up with the feet of the pop too.

Usually I only use the strips or other sticky stuff if it's something I'm going to use in a photograph. Otherwise, if it won't stand up on it's own, back in it's box it goes! I don't think I've ever noticed one of my pops not matching up with it's base, but that would be so incredibly frustrating!

I have 4 HT within a 15 minute drive so even if my usual store sells out, the others are close by. I’m blessed to have a lot of GS, HT and BL near by. My Walmarts are garbage though.

That is really lucky! I have lots of stores around, but they're far in terms of traffic! I think that's the nature of WMs, generally...the good ones are rare, and usually not ours!

The only time any of my HTs are further than 15 minutes is right after work. One location is in the middle of the busy section of the area and getting to that mall is like pulling teeth. It's also one of the more rundown malls in the area so I only go there when I have no other options.
Southern California traffic is a whole other beast.

I'm still leery of using the 3m tape on things that I cannot have peeling...furniture varnish, car paint, etc...! Have you tried it on anything like that? So far in those cases, I've been using masking tape or paint tape. They don't stick great though, and usually have a very short span for holding something upright!

I've only used it on my shelves. Most are factory painted so you aren't peeling the paint unless you have chemicals. I tried to use it in my car but the dash surface wasn't wanting to work with the tape. Thought it would be cool to have a bobblehead for long road trips.

That doesn't sound too bad, except that rundown busy location! And it's better to have it as a back-up option than not at all! My nearest is 10-15 min with traffic, and the next nearest is 15-30 depending on what my freeways are doing! Luckily for me, both locations are really nice, and the employees are great, so it's worth it to go to either! Or both, depending on what I'm hunting for!

HT Nerdette said it would be in stores with no street date. The only hint was early May. The employees are going to regret the people calling each day to see if the got it in.
