Agreed, it's probably a good thing I can't afford those prices lol no temptation since it's not a possibility

It’s definitely hard to avoid them at times. I just always remember to tell myself the price will go down. You just have to be patient.

It usually does, but the one I'm still kicking myself for is the planet arlia vegeta. When he first came out, I had the chance to buy him for $100 but I don't have that kind of extra cash to be spending and figured the price would come down. Boy was I wrong on that one!

Ah that’s a drag. The shop drops at noon for me so it’s usually lunch time around me so I am able to get one if needed.

That's a good time, I'm glad it work out for you. It drops at 11am for me and I always have class at the time no matter what day of the week it is

Nice to hear from a fellow teacher who struggles with some of the drop times as well! Right now, the Funko Shop drops at noon for me, which is during lunch, but soon the rest of the country moves to daylight savings time and Arizona stays on our own time. So, it will move back to at the very beginning of a class. I take attendance on my phone, so if I really want something I can usually play it off like I’m getting the app on my phone ready. I’m hoping for some better luck with Fundays tickets this year. Two years ago they live while I was on stage hanging out kindergarten awards. Lol. Couldn’t have much worse timing than that.

Nice to meet a fellow teacher who collects pops! Oh that's true, I'm glad you at least had good timing for a portion of the year. I am in the middle of a class at 11am everyday, then I go directly to recess duty and then duty for two lunch waves so I can't get on. I teach science so it's not like I can stop an experiment halfway through to buy pops lol I like your attendance trick, nice ;-)

oh man! That is bad timing! I don't like how they do the time range now for Fundays tickets going on sale ( think it was from 10am to 2pm). I was constantly checking my phone that day two years ago and I missed it because I didn't know we needed a password! It was new for that year so I took up precious time going back after having already clicked the link. Then I got anxious knowing I was running behind and I typed it in wrong. I happened to be giving a test when they went on sale but I still missed it. Got as far as choosing 2 tickets then they sold out. My mom was trying for tickets from home and she's dyslexic so the password completely ruined her chance of getting them. Last year I took the day off of work to try for tickets and still didn't get them. I'll probably do the same this year. I wish you luck!

What I can see as a remote possibility, though, is the Titan scene in Infinity War where Tony, Peter, and the Guardians are trying to hold down Thanos.

Thanos in the middle (with Mantis on top), then have Strange, Tony, Peter, and Drax on the side. With Star-Lord in front of Thanos. Still a long shot, but I totally dug this scene!

That would be a pretty awesome scene! I loved that scene until Star Lord messed it all up and then I wanted to punch him lol

Well it will never be over for me seen as though I'm the teacher lol I can't just leave my students hanging while I buy pops

Nice! I have some on my desk at work and they are a good conversation starter. Especially when I have them in there for a disciplinary discussion.

That's cool. I bet they work great as conversation starters, good idea! I have a few things behind my desk but nothing of value since I work with younger kids. This is my shelf I decorate. Some of it came as freebies from SDCC, gifts from coworkers and gifts from students. This taken at the beginning of the school year

Yeah, I literally had chills when they formed that circle shot that we're discussing here! It changed the game on so many levels, and will be such an iconic moment no matter what comes next!

What we really need is something like this from Endgame when they are all coming out of the portals.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Endgame was a much needed all of the MCU as our team coming together moment. Chills again!

Age of Ultron wasn’t the best but I still feel it outclassed most other super hero movies out there lol which is a big statement given how many there are. I think at that point we were used to Marvel knocking it completely out the park and I remember the hype around ultron appearing in the films being incredible and then it was all just kinda underwhelming when it released. I will say though Infinity War was the complete opposite. It exceeded expectations in almost every way

I will always take a mediocre Marvel movie over just about anything else..! 3 amazing full-team Avengers movies will just have to tide us over...for now!

That is always a factor for me as well. That factor doesn’t get in the way to often though as I have really honed in on the lines I collect. However, I am in that boat now with all the recent releases. Venom and the soda cans are making things hard on me.

Nice! I don’t have anything of value on my desk either. I do have quite a few people bring there kids in from time to time and if they stop by my desk I let take some from the Funko cabinet. That’s how I am able to cycle through stuff.

I teach K-5 PE, so I definitely have a bit of flexibility, especially since the class doesn’t always show up exactly at 11. I’m hoping for some better timing with Fundays this year. I’ve got Thursday, Friday and Sunday badges for Comic Con this year, so going to my first ever Fundays would take some of the sting out from not having a C Saturday badge for Comic Con.

I think it just depends on what they're doing with him at any given time. I've quite enjoyed most of his time in the MCU, and I'm really looking forward to the Disney+ series and whatever pops come along from it!

I agree. I sort of dont want to like his character in the mcu, partially because im not a huge renner fan, but its sort of hard not to like him

I understand the internal fight! Not in this particular instance - I like Renner, but I've had that battle with other characters/actors. Really hoping we get a Kate/Hawkeye pop out of the series though. It has to happen, right??

Has to. For sure

That's gonna be a HUUUGE series, don't see it happening. But if it does, I'm not gonna say no to that.

My wallet probably will, though lol

Yes it will be ENDGAME for our wallets! LOL

Haha! Indeed it would. It would also be an Endgame for that precious space issue we all run into.

Oh yes! That too! Its like Thanos snapped away our wallets and space!

Until Marvel unleashes the inevitable Avengers & X-Men crossover to blow our collective socks off!

To be honest with you - now that the X-men are back in Marvel's Court - I think that we are going to be in for a level of X-men that we never even fathomed. lol I know that the franchise in general as far as the avengers are going to lean heavily on the X-men/Mutants/Galactic/Etc going forward so its only right.

Six pieces - one for each OG Avenger.

Though I'm not sure where the centerpiece "A" logo will come in, maybe as part of the last figure to release? We'll find out then.

I am 100% bracing myself for the inevitable MCU X-Men Pops and all of the variants lol Though it might take a while seeing as how they'll be introduced in Phase 5 at the earliest (which is prolly 4 years down the line from now).

Yup it’s a gamble, i have learned to buy them on release even if I have a small inkling of wanting them but on the fence about it.

That's what I try to do too, depends on my bank account as well unfortunately

That is always a factor for me as well. That factor doesn’t get in the way to often though as I have really honed in on the lines I collect. However, I am in that boat now with all the recent releases. Venom and the soda cans are making things hard on me.

I'm definitely after all of the venomized pops, though I am still missing ghost rider. I have been able to resist the soda cans, but I can see how that line is going to grow quickly and will be hard to keep up with

lol! I think you are right. Poor Chris Pratt! Horrible writing has put him in a place of anger for many people.

That was so bad. I love Star Lord but I yelled some not so nice things at him for that. And I'm sure I was much nicer in my rantings than some people lol that scene was so frustrating

Nice! I don’t have anything of value on my desk either. I do have quite a few people bring there kids in from time to time and if they stop by my desk I let take some from the Funko cabinet. That’s how I am able to cycle through stuff.

Take to play with or take to keep? Either way, that's nice of you

I am using my shelf as a way of teaching my students to respect things that belong to other people. They may look at them without touching. If they want to touch, they cannot just grab things, they need to be respectful and ask permission first. And also teaching them to be careful with things that are not their own. One kid cannot understand why I don't take some things out of their boxes though lol I'll probably do it one day just to shock him

I'm hoping for the same since I only was able to buy Thursday and Sunday this year before they sold out. I'm glad to be going at all though. I am on the volunteer list so we'll see. Last time this happened to me I stayed really busy with all of the offsites on my nonbadge days. I got into Fundays once in 2017 so hopefully my good luck comes back. It was so much fun, I rreaaalllyyy want to go again! I'm glad you were able to get most of the days for SDCC!

Yes I agree. Look at the comic books. Marvel put Hickman at the helm and the X series are now getting a strong resurgence. No doubt this will happen across all product lines soon enough especially after they hit the MCU.
