I saw this yesterday and thought the same thing. Like is it just based on PPG collection? I feel like some of the older collectors would definitely have more than this.

Honestly, It’s still massive and impressive!

But yes, I would tend to believe that there are some here that would definitely exceed the total, together with Funko items from all different lines.

You have to go through the process to claim the record. It doesn't matter what anyone else has. They aren't claiming it.

There is also no point in claiming it other then to get yourself listed in the coffee table book.

Anyone who is able to collect that many pops in that time frame is pretty impressive. I started collecting back in 2015-2016 roughly and have no where near that amount. If someone here has more than 5,300, then you should def apply to Guinness!

My wife likes to ask me (and not in a good natured way) what I spend each month on Pops - based on how long this guy has been collecting and the amount he has, I hope his wife doesn't ask him that same question. I have been collecting for almost six years at this point and I have probably 10% of that.

First off I think this is really cool to see an “official” world record. I’ve always loved Guinness World records so I may be biased in that statement.

I don’t think it’s the largest pop collection either (nor Funko collection since this is only pops). It does set the bar that I imagine will be broken very soon. I believe someone already said this above me but you have to contact Guinness and have someone come out there and verify the record (along with some other steps that are explained on their website) in order to apply for the official record.

I have been collecting Funko since 2005-2006 and I don't have anywhere near that amount. Would lose too much square footage in my house. I know a few people that have more than 5000 but still a awesome collection

I know of a few collectors in the Toronto area who have huge collections with many OG pieces and they are OOB and have tossed the boxes away one guy I know has the Disco Skeletor glues to his dash and its all faded from the sun beating up on it for the past 6 or 7 years LOL
