Your ReAction Questions Answered Here!

Let's talk about Funko and Super 7's great line of ReAction and Legacy action figures. They don't bobble or pop, but they thrill in their own fun way.

Thanks for answering the questions, Reis!
Looking forward to the tomorrowland series. Was curious if the card or figure was going to differ for young frank as it compares to the nycc release?

Thanks!

Ah, movie girlfriends... I thought only I did that. :-)

- Any movie girlfriends you still have to make?

- One of mine was Winona Ryder, any chance we'll see Winona (ideally from Heathers) in some form or other?

If we're just dreaming here, I still need a figure of Elizabeth Daily from Valley Girl.

Sorry, no plans for Winona. :(

Sorry, but no. Basically, the amount we would have to pay Arnold for the rights to make his character would be cost-prohibitive. He charges a large flat fee per character, where most actors charge a moderate fee for the use of all their characters. And we're reluctant to make the other guys without Dutch. At least, that's how it was explained to me.

Thanks again Reis for answering our questions. Really looking forward to everything coming up. (have already Big Trouble and Trek on the way)

A few questions.

1) Phoebe Cates. Can she bought off? (I can spring for some flowers)

2) Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm assuming there was a different deal regarding his likeness for Terminator?

3) Would it be possible to do a kickstarter for the fans to pay Arnold's fee? If nothing else, it'd be a good way to gauge if there's enough interest in the rest of the Predator cast. And I'd personally hope there is. (I'd take them even without Dutch)

4) Is it a possibility we could get new characters as convention or other exclusives if they only require new heads? I'm thinking Star Trek here, with it's vast cast of 2nd and 3rd string characters.

5) Can parts be used to from, for example, say the Buffy line to make a character for the Firefly line to cut down on production costs? Like a new head on the Buffy body to make River.

Thanks again!

Reis, I know I asked this quite a long time ago, and I have been wanting them again since the new season started yesterday, but where is our Psycho and Bates Motel Funko Reaction and Pops? I know this is reaction which Psycho would look great, but the movie and tv show would have to have the Pop treatment! Maybe this is where Hitchcock can come in?

Hi Reis,

I don't suppose there's a bucketload of Phoebe Cates prototypes just sitting around your office, by any chance? I mean if you're throwing them out anyway... :-)

1) Sadly, it doesn't look like it.

2) No. Same deal. We just paid it.

3) We don't need a Kickstarter. Funko can easily afford the cost, it's a matter of cost vs. profit margins.

4) Anything is possible!

5) Not really. Theoretically, yes. But River didn't wear a cross necklace. We'd rather do them right.

Sorry, we don't have any plans for Psycho at the moment. I have pitched a Norman Bates ReAction figure (in his "mother" outfit) from the original movie for the second series of Horror ReAction. Also, I'm not entirely sure we have the rights to Hitchcock's movies. We have the rights to Hitchcock himself.

Any chance we see Hobbit or LOTR figures in ReAction form? Are the rights available to you or is Bridge Direct still sitting on them? Seems like something with tons of characters and a big fanbase that could sustain multiple releases.

Any chance we see a Dracula Untold Vlad? Potentially in the Horror releases? I know it's more of an action film but it was an awesome action film. I don't want to get too into Legacy since you said that would be reserved for a later time but Vlad in his full on armor as a Legacy figure would be insanely awesome. Seems appropriate too since Dracula Untold is, seemingly, the first of the modern day Universal Monsters reboot films.

He's a shrewd businessman, I'll give him that. Sucks that we won't be getting Matrix from Commando, Slater from Last Action Hero, Conan, or Dutch from Predator now...but I think you guys may want to rethink the not doing the other guys thing.

I'm not sure that there are many (if any) alternatives to getting the rest of the crew, so you guys would have the lion's share of the market if you could get Blain, Dillon, Mac, and Anna out...

A bit off subject here, but the Last Action Hero line from Mattel was awesome. I still have a Jack and Benedict figure displayed on my shelf to this day. Such an under appreciated flick imo, but those were some of my favorite figures when I was a kid. Admittedly, I would probably buy them all in ReAction form.

I think a John Matrix from Commando would be the coolest Arnold for me to see in ReAction form, most fitting anyway. NECA nailed Dutch. So I think that's the best hope in seeing the Predator line expanded. Blain would be sweet in any format. Conan, Running Man, Harry Tasker, Hauser, hell even Turbo Man haha, too bad. I could buy an entire ReAction line of just Arnold honestly.

For the Star Trek TOS figures - are the animated characters available to do? Would love figures of Lieutenant M'Ress, Lieutenant Arex and a Klingon in live action and cartoon colors.

The Arrow and Flash ReAction figures were a nice surprise. Any other ReAction heroes in the works?

1978 Superman movie, Batman 66, and even Burton's Batman movies would be great fits for the style.

P.S. What is the ETA on V for Vendetta?

Thanks!

No plans for any Hobbit, LOTR or Dracula Untold. Sorry. Although, I would personally LOVE to revive the toy line based on Bakshi's LOTR animated movie from the 70s. Not a great movie, but the toys from Knickerbocker were incredible!

Sadly, no. We are too far into production at this point. And adding another character would delay the release of the line by several months.

That's heartbreaking considering you guys got the incredibly difficult to obtain rights for Bela Lugosi's likeness. I really hope you guys reconsider, because Universal Monster Legacy's would rock, and nobody else currently has the likeness rights to several of the actors that you do, so you'd be unique in that market.
