What are your ReAction pickups?

Let's talk about Funko and Super 7's great line of ReAction and Legacy action figures. They don't bobble or pop, but they thrill in their own fun way.

Just got my first ReAction Figure in the mail yesterday! The Rocketeer. I totally wish I had a toy like this as a kid. I just wanted something with a removeable helmet and rocket. The first thing I did with it is a little photoshoot. I really love the artwork on the card.

Not exactly a stellar collection, but I've got the five regular Firefly ReAction figures, the two special Mal figures (blue shirt & brown coat), Jayne with his hat, and my three favorite horror movie monsters (Jason, Freddy & Michael Myers.) Not getting them all, but Pinhead from Hellraiser is on my want list.

That said, why on earth would there be a Crow figure in a horror movie line and not Leatherface?!?! And Sam from Trick r' Treat? If I had to pick a small figure for that set, it would be Chucky, or Gage from Pet Sematary with Church the cat.

I'm interested in the Jaws, Fight Club and Boondocks Saints figures, but those are it so far. I'm more of a Legacy fan than ReAction, though both are cool in their own way.

Have been looking at pictures of the series and reading about it since Alien series 1 and finally started picking these up. Tried my local Toys R Us first to see what I could get without paying for shipping. Was able to get Terminator Chrome Endoskeleton, T2 Arnold, Toys R Us exclusive (?) frozen T1000, full metal silver T1000, Travis Bickle, Snake Plisskin, Gentlemen from Buffy, and Spock. The original Terminator figures were on clearance. Disappointed they didn't have Kirk to go with Spock, or anything from series 2. I wanted John Connor and Terminator Sarah Connor, which they also didn't have. And no Diva from Fifth element. And none of the recently released Gremlins figures. So I've turned to online purchases to get the others I want. The Gremlins ones I most wanted just arrived today. They're really small!
Something I noticed in person...these look different, all the Reaction figures, than they do online. I'm not sure what it is, I find the human sized figures to appear in-person generally skinnier, narrower bodies? Also something about the faces and the plastic. Hard to explain exactly, but I like the way they look in person more I think.
Recently posted a couple videos showing my pick-ups if anyone wants to check 'em out. Will be posting all future ReAction pick-ups there and am working my Reaction figures into my greater figure collection in some really neat ways which I'll also be posting soon.

Just received Star Trek wave 2! Fun stuff. Once again the cards seem to be "sticky". Not to the touch exactly but I received them with the bubble of one facing the card photo of the other other and there was adhesion. I bought two of each so I was able to keep the near minty ones and open the ones that got damage from this effect. I noticed this on my wave 1 as well. Anyway, love em! Can hardly wait for wave 3! Right???? Klingon? Chekov? Nurse Chapel/Yeoman Rand? Romulan?

Hey guys, picked up a new Reaction figure recently. Took advantage of some great deals that were part of the Amazon Prime Day sale and noticed Terminator Sarah Connor was discounted so I grabbed her. As you can see in my video of the figure which I'll link to below, the figure I received is not the same one I've been looking at online for months. My figure has a pink and white striped shirt and a different hairstyle than the one I've seen online and pictured on the back of the card, which has a solid pink shirt and differing hairstyle. Do I have a variant or is this what the final figure turned out to be?

I just got all the regular Jaws figures and the SDCC Ex should be arriving this week. I also picked up the Legacy Rocketeer, which honestly to me doesn't look that great. I like the REAction figure much better.

I took advantage of a Toys 'R Us sale a week or two ago and picked up Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas line. Lots of pictures and a review here on my site!: http://www.actionfigurebarbecue.com/2015/07/action-figure-review-jack-skellington.html

Edit- I also picked up Tony Montana as part of the same sale: http://www.actionfigurebarbecue.com/2015/07/action-figure-review-tony-montana-from.html

Also grabbed Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver. One of my favorites this year so far!: http://www.actionfigurebarbecue.com/2015/07/action-figure-review-travis-bickle-from.html

Added Quint to the collection: http://www.actionfigurebarbecue.com/2015/07/action-figure-review-quint-from-jaws.html

Barnes and Noble is having a 75% off clearance sale so I checked the bins and walked out with:

Terminator 1: Terminator
Terminator 1: Kyle Reese
Predator: Unmasked Predator (mouth closed)
Universal Monsters: The Mummy
Pulp Fiction: Jimmie Dimmick

All for $2.50 a piece!

They also had these but I already had them so I passed for now, though I might go back and nab some for customs:
Alien: Ash
Alien: Dallas
Goonies: Mikey
Back to the Future: Biff Tannen

I stopped in Target tonight for some quick shopping and happened to find a stray Devil from NBX just sitting on a peg. This was weird to me as my store clearanced out Reactions months ago. I did a price check and it came up "Item Not Found" so I took it up to the register with my other stuff. The cashier couldn't get it to ring up either so they just gave it to me. Score! :D

It was when I saw the Goonies figs that I broke down and started collecting. I don't usually keep my figures in the packaging, either. I got the exclusive Sloth on Amazon.

Image

I got into collecting Funko stuff kinda late. I have a nice little collection of Pop's now too, and 2 Legacy figs. Love the Legacy line, but they don't do the sort of subject matter I want usually, though Rocketeer was awesome. God, I want Hocus Pocus and other DIsney Legacy figures! And Teen Wolf (classic) in any line!

Anyways, I also got some of the Tomorrowland figures. Yes, I do love that movie. Really sad that it didn't do well. I ordered the two figures I don't have just last night on Amazon along with a prequel novel for the film. I also would eventually like to get a spare of least one of the figures to keep on card. I think probably Athena, because her character and card were the best. So sad they didn't make the modern-day version. Spare Goonies, Gremlins, Back to the Future, etc... on the card would not be a bad thing either, though my budget is tight and I want too many figures, ha.

Image

Image

I really want another Escape from New York figure, because I want one of these to open and one to keep on the card. Until I get another, I'm keeping this one on the card. It's just such an awesome card. This card though, is pretty rough. Still, it looks appropriate for this figure, ha, and makes it look more like I've had it since the 80's. But, if I am able to get another on a nicer card, that's the one I'll keep sealed. I do want the other Plissken figure too, but this is the preferred one to have two of for me.

Image

I'm a huge Gremlins fan. I dressed as Billy Peltzer for Halloween one year (when I was an adult, ha), and I met Zach Galligan a couple years ago, got a photo with him, and he signed the back of my Gizmo's ear (the dancing one from Neca). I want this whole set, but I've just started getting it recently and only have these two so far. The others are harder to find and normal prices, but I'll get 'em, even if I have to shell out. Heartbroken about the loss of the Kate figure though.

Image

And this Marty is my latest purchase (aside from the two final Tomorrowland ones I'm waiting on). He is very tricky to stand on his own, but otherwise very cool and really makes me want a Teen Wolf reaction figure badly (want animated series ones too). I need to get Doc Brown now at least, and really want a Time Machine for them. I'll get the Diamond Select one if I must, but would rather have one made for this figure. Also, really want Einstein! So disappointed to find out they have one with Einstein in Japan or somewhere! No fair! Ha. Please include him with one of the future releases!
