SDCC 2016 Action Figure Discussion!

Let's talk about Funko and Super 7's great line of ReAction and Legacy action figures. They don't bobble or pop, but they thrill in their own fun way.

So far only one reveal for action figures, but it's an amazing one!

Ya that is pretty wild, that was one of the last things I expected to see for this line.

I love it.

I'll be at SDCC again this year, but honestly the Funko booth has one of the most poorly managed lines I've seen. Often times last year there was no line allowed at all. Super frustrating and won't likely waste my time wandering all the way across the marketplace to bother to find out.

But still - absolute awesomeness. Love the childhood nostalgia.

This is absolutely stunning. Not sure I want to go down the road of collecting Dark Crystal items, but this might push me over the top. Amazing work.
Hello. My name is Mike and I am currently most excited about the Gravity Falls line.

They are changing how the line is handled this year. Check back in early July for details of the new changes (rumored to be ticketing in the Sails Pavilion).

The sculpts are truly amazing in the Dark Crystal line and love the return. I was a huge of the fan growing up and still am. We will definitely be jumping on this series. Keep them coming Funko!

Thanks for the heads up. I will keep my fingers crossed then. :)

This is my dreams and nightmares all coming together at once. I've been waiting for Dark Crystal figures my whole life. Then Funko announced them a few years ago and I've been on Cloud 9 ever since. Now, one of the more amazing pieces in the set becomes an exclusive only available to the sadistic pit of scalpers. Ugh... Regardless, I have to have it so I guess I'll have to pay up.

My wife wants this one, I assume it will be in stores, hopefully I can snag it before an a-hole does.

Hope it's okay to post if not I'll take down, but this was just revealed by Hasbro. Bummed that it doesn't seem there'll be an early release for Rogue One like they did last year for TFA, but this is still pretty awesome. Image Image

Don't worry. I've been collecting Dark Crystal stuff for over a decade and there isn't much out there. lol

Honestly, once this Reaction line is done it will most likely be the biggest product line for The Dark Crystal ever made. Plan B put out a line of mini-busts years ago but it was only 6 pieces, with the 7th being cancelled. It's a lot of fun collecting DC stuff and easy to manage but often frustrating. Sideshow and MINDstyle also had plans to expand their lines but the later pieces got cancelled due to poor support.

I may have missed it, but is there word on where Jen and the Landstrider are going to be in store?
I assumed B&N, but so far I don't see any info anywhere. The wife wants them, so I have to get her SOMETHING...I guess, ha.

I read somewhere that this should be available "somewhere" after the show. Still sounds limited, but I'm hoping to avoid going to ebay for it. Last year one of my local etailers stocked a limited supply of bloody Bruces. I wish I'd snagged it when I saw it, but it didn't fit within the scope of my collection. It was awesome, but it didn't fit.

This on the other hand!

I'm really gald that Funko has decided to "serious up" ReAction (for lack of a better description), and seem to have got the formula right for this set. This is a stunning looking release, that hits all the right nostalgia buttons, as well as those of the modern, "discerning" toy collector.

Clear a spot!

Toys'R'Us has the Jen and Landstrider for $24.99 for pre-order, being reasonable for such excellent work of art. Hope the rest come out soon in retail as well!

Can't wait to get my hands on this one. A local e-tailer reckons they'll be carrying it. Hopefully this one will be easier to get a hold of than NECA's Newt.

Yes indeed - the best thing to come out of SDCC 2016 in my opinion!
