The Dark Crystal figure collection

Let's talk about Funko and Super 7's great line of ReAction and Legacy action figures. They don't bobble or pop, but they thrill in their own fun way.

Hi folks, longtime toy collector, first time poster here...

I've bought two carded Jens and neither of them came with the Shard accessory. One came from a website and had a firm blister which I had to cut off, one came from a TRU and the blister flaked off in my hand while taking carded photographs.

Has anyone else noticed their Jens not coming with a Shard?

(Pic from the Fwoosh review.)

I contacted Funko to see if a production change was made, and Sherry replied saying all the carded Jens should include one.

(Then again, she did refer to Jen with female pronouns, so...)

The shards are taped to the bubble, under Jen's foot. They are tiny, and could be easily tossed if you're not looking for it when opening the figure. Here is an image from ebay to show how hidden it is:

Hallelujah! I rechecked the packages (I never throw things out) and sure enough there they were.

Thanks, Mystic Master!

I was never able to get Augrah, Mystic and Chamberlin. Jen and Kira were release through TRU, and the other figures were scheduled for that website and several others but then never happened. Is it definitely not happening now? I thought maybe with the packaging issues they were pushed back but not sure now.

I thought this line was OOP save for the Garthim, which is still shipping to TRU...

I guess thats where I'm confused. First there were early pre-orders for the figures on most online retailers. But all the other releases I didn't pre-order I just waited for the regular release. Some places still have much older figures. After the pre-order the online stores had the figures as coming back into stock. At that point some big name stores like TRU had them listed. I bought Jen, Kira and Garthim as soon as they came up. The other figures were not yet available, but scheduled. The online retailers had them as coming back into stock too, but that seems to not be the case now.

The stock seems to be drying up at online retailers and even ebay, so I'm not expecting much more. Barnes & Noble still carries them - they are sold out online, but you can check local stores with your zipcode. If you find any, I wouldn't wait any longer! ;) I was hoping to buy a couple more to customize, but they're gone in my area.

WELL Look what I found!! I decided to swing by Barnes and Nobel. They only ever had two Kira figures for the last few weeks. Today I was lucky. On top of one of their POP displays they had two Mystic figures!! One was stacked on top of the other or it wouldn't have been seen. I am REALLY happy. I thought this would be the hardest to find, or most expensive if I had to make a bid for it. Cost only $8.49. I'm really glad I stopped in today! I checked but they didn't have Aughra or Chamberlain.

I visited a different Barnes & Nobel location today and they also had two Mystic figures there at the $7+ price point. Anyone still looking for this might want to check your local B&N stores.

I revisited this video now that I have a real Winged Kira/closed-mouth Fizzgig. The ones in the previous incarnation of the video were accomplished with a digital trick.

There are a couple of other minor changes as well. But it's mostly the same video.

Good stuff, how did you manage to find a winged Kira?

It was a combination of a Buy It Now on eBay and a credit card with just enough balance left to cover it. I panicked and did it before I could think better of the expense.

And then a few weeks later, I saw one for fifty bucks less. Sigh.
