Rainbow Dash Hikari

Any idea when these will be available and where? (Photos from Dragonflydesignsct, pop vinyls and flickr.)

Funko knocked these out of the park, when I heard MLP hikari was coming I was very confused at how they would do it.

Also no idea when they are coming you'll have to keep an eye on Hikari Friday announcements, that'll be your best bet at finding out.

Sure did I love them however I already have a Rainbow Dash army from Funko 8 vinyl variants. I wish they had different characters. Does anyone know if all these will be made or just some of them?

If there is one Hikari RD I'd like to get, it's the one from the bottom row, second to right (glittery gradient rainbow colored with painted mane and tail).

I'm not getting any but they look really cool. The stance, colors, glitters etc all make sense. I think they'll be a hit.

I can't wait for more news on these! I already have a pony room in my new house, but it looks like I'll have to dedicate a whole section of the room to my Rainbow Dash army, which will probably include most... nope, all of these. I won't even lie.

I'm also willing to bet that there will be more Hikari ponies down the line. I've been saying this since day one: Rainbow Dash is the token pony for sales. If she works out, the others will follow. ;-)

Time to save up my monies!

If we at least get the rest of the mane 6, I'll be happy.

I bet Celestia and Luna would look gorgeous in the Hikari style as well! And I'm sure we'll get Discord, who would probably look very cool.

I agree with you but my fear is that the pony people will not like the price point of the hikari.

That is true they aren't very cheap. Maybe the die hard pony fans will buy multiples and that will be good enough lol

I'm a pony person and I'm willing to drop the money on these, but if the MLP forum I'm a part of is any indication, spending more than $10 on a G4 pony is way too much, so... :rolleyes:

My hope is that non-MLP fans will jump on this and help the sales. Although, the hardcore fans of this gen of ponies (like myself) have been itching for some high quality merchandise. Funko is the best we've got at this point.

I know theyre testing the waters with RDash but if they had released the 6 main ponies instead of a ton of RDash variants I wonder if they would sell better because it appeals to everyone no matter which is their favorite? Then they could have done variants of the best sellers? Idk...

I guess we'll never know until these actually do go on sale.

Though, think about it, RD and Derpy were the first two vinyl figures we got. I imagine if those hadn't sold well, we wouldn't have gotten all the ones we have now. So it makes a ton of sense to start with a go-to pony for a new line of figures, instead of giving us a bunch of characters at once with no idea if they'll make money or not. And with these being more expensive figures, I'm sure they don't want to take any huge risks.

I do wonder if the rest of the ponies (if they get made) will be in different poses? That would be neat!

I'd be surprised if these aren't $80 MSRP.
The Hikari line is very high quality and I'm sure there are some die hard pony and brony fans out there that will get these. The limited edition numbers may drive some people to it too.

With any luck, one of these variants will be a Hot Topic exclusive and it'll be up for order during a Hot Cash period.

That's how I got my rainbow Stay Puft Hikari. lol

Honestly though, I have no issues buying every Rainbow Dash variant. I really do love all of these, and it helps that she's my favorite.

Can't believe I've missed this thread all week. I had planned to only buy a few but I think I am gonna go all in on this line. I would like to see more ponies however given 8 RD variations I hope for more of a mixture of characters. Discord is a must as well as a Princess but how about an alter ego examples...Flutterbat, Nightmare Moon, Nightmare Rarity...one can wish [-o<

I wonder if they did all these variants of RD just to play around with the types of effects they could throw at the MLPs and show them off at Toy Fair to evaluate the buzz they cause. These ponies did make quite an impression on a lot of people. I don't even collect MLP and I'd want some (luckily Stacey's got these covered--she's buying all of them #-o

I hope they come out soon- I have never collected Hikari before- is it typical to have so many variants? Are there "chase" Hikari?

I hope they sell well! On one hand the Funko sales of ponies have been through the roof- so that is a good sign. I do worry though that the pony collectors are used to their ponies being cheap- but hopefully the sheer awesomeness of the figures will inspire people to save their $$... They really are sooooo pretty...

Oooh- I hope they aren't too hard to get. I hope also that Gemini and/or Hot Topic carry them, not sure where else to get them otherwise, as I don't often get to the comic shops.

Woah the Star Wars Clone Trooper was only 900 variants for the solid one and 100 of the glitter one! Yikes we need to keep an eye out for eachother I have a feeling the chase Rainbow Dashs are going to sell out fast!
