I ordered my very first ones 2 days ago (epic mickey & oswald rabbit)...i'm getting the Disney bug real bad after getting these Hikari's Would love to get a 9" POP! including a Mickey, Freddy, etc..but i'm currently only at one 9" with the gitd POP! Asia Tossakan.

We're in the same boat, Josh . I love Mickey but never really had interest in collecting him but now that these Hikari came out I've been wanting them all . First thing I did was get the new Mickey and Minnie pops at Gamestop along with the Mickey Dorbz

Like you, I'm not crazy about Mickey Mouse, but the Hikari have been so fantastic, especially the colorways. That is what sold me there. I also really like the dorbz design, might have to grab it. still not a fan of the pops though.

A shame they did not have the foresight to put a 1 or 2 per person limit on them. For a collector oriented store it would seem like a no brainier to not allow someone to buy all 16 of their exclusives in one shot.

It's a business based on selling stuff to customers. They typically could care less who buys as long as they sell them and get the most money they can for them. It's unfortunate for people looking to get stuff at retail

When I got my Mickey & Buzz, there was a girl checking out with 2 Mickeys..I got the last Hikari's in the store and the guy said like 18 people had came by or called looking for them.. Soooo worth the day long drive to get them

Good luck poppet..hope you find one!! One sold a few hours ago for $173.00 with shipping on eBay... People want their Mickeys and are feeding the flippers

Yes and no. I absolutely get that retail mind-frame for stores such as Target or Barnes & Noble who do not directly cater to the collector's market. For a brand new store concept such as Box Lunch who is directly catering to the collector's market and trying to establish themselves as a collector friendly brand it is a bad business move.

It is a turn off to me that they locked down a hot exclusive (I am sure thanks to their Hot Topic parent connection) and placed no limit on the purchase. They should be wanting to expose themselves to as many as possible and with a good shopping experience at the same time.

Ultimately this is small potatoes in the larger picture for them. For me though it is also the first real experience I am having with them and I view it as a sour one. Not the way to build a brand IMO.

OK, so I admit I am 1 of those enabling the eBay flippers and bought this guy. Thankfully not for the highest price they went for last weekend but more than retail. But you know what...I just received and opened him and I LOVE HIM!!! SO worth it! Wow - LOVE the colors!!!!!!! LOVE!!!

Sigh...my NY resolution was to focus my collecting on Star Wars and a few other characters. Mickey was not among them. I guess I will chuck that resolution out the window now **looking at the other Mickey colors now**

It's quite an awesome looking variant! The gold and tonal purple variants really came out very cool!! I'd rather buy then decide I don't want than not buy and want, followed by over-paying. The gold is definitely worth over-paying for in my opinion because I would be if I didn't have it!
