Rough retail prices of Hikari?

Postby ClownTastic » Sun Dec 27, 2015 9:27 am

Hey there, really interested in getting some Hikari (mainly Marvel & Star Wars) but the price tag in Australia is anywhere between $100-$150 each, was curious what the RRP was over in the US/Canada or even Europe if anybody can tell me.

I think non premium are $45-$50 MSRP and Premium (read: Star Wars) are $80 in the US

Most marvel seem to be around the $50 mark, give or take, and depending which seller you go thru. eBay seems to be the best place to get a fair price on a lot of em

Star Wars have been mostly "Premium" priced, so around $80 USD. But so far no Hikaris have held a high price, and ebay and amazon are cheap options:

The Star Wars Hikari tend to drop in value the least. I'm starting to see the first Hikari that dropped in price but are now going up a bit: Rainbow Stay Puft and Sunrise Batman. The LE88s have also generally held value. The Star Skulls are an exception - still not sure why those aren't more popular.

The only thing to consider is the Aussie exchange is about as weak as the Canadian exchange compared to USD right now. I'm brand new to the Hikari game as I've only purchased Disney thus far, but $50-$75 for retail waves with shipping included depending on popularity and only 1 has been $80 with shipping thus far.

Sunrise Batman has always seemed to be that rare exception, along with Gold Glitter Batman, that has held value and could never be found on the cheap. Rainbow Staypuff is new for that, he was really cheap back in theFall when I was considering getting one.

Star Skulls are pretty niche even with being by Ron English. Add the lack of license and I would imagine that is why they haven't gained more traction.

Yeah, being a crazy low run will help with that.
