Bought my first Hikari today. What was your first?

My first Hikari was a few years ago and it was Frankenstein's monster. Since then I've gotten a couple of Godzilla variants and now I have 3 of the new little Freddy mini hikaris. I love them. I just wait until they end up deeply discounted to get them though.

I remember finding the blue sparkle Batman on Amazon and I was just so beyond amazed with the quality. That was one of the first things that sold me on Funko immediately.

I've been collecting Pops! for a while but never made the jump to any other lines. The metallic Bossh has been calling my name for a while and I finally got him today. Could be very treacherous for my wallet, but I'm excited to get a few others.

I'm also curious how many people started with Hikari and then branched out to other Funko products and what figure prompted you to buy your first?

I started with regular pop figures first but only have one hikari. In fact it's the white sugar skull one LE88 that toy tokyo released a few years at NYCC. I have no idea why i even bought that thing cuz its just sitting in its box still haha

I don't collect Hikaris as they take up more space then I have , but I LOVE all things Groot and will always find room for him in any form. Even that Giant Groot bobble that Funko takes to the cons. Hint hint.

My first Hikari was glow in the dark Groot. I now pretty much get all the Disney ones and always try to stop myself from going back and buying the Old Hikaris. My husband is not a fan of the Hikari line so when I get one he always says something. It's usually about the price and how it's not his thing. Yet I still buy them as my most recent one was the frankenberry hikari.

My first hikari was the hikari from MCC year one box. Then I followed it with 3 mini hikaris of freddy funko. I just can't get heavily invested into this line because the cost seems high.

My first is the limited from Funko 12 Days of Christmas. Mostly I'm a Pop collector, but this looked super cool and I was able to order it! There was a sticker shock since it was $50 verses most Pops at $12 to $20.

I liked the Hikari, but wasn't interested in collecting them until Rainbow Dash was announced. I'll probably only collect any My Little Pony Hikari. (I hope, I don't think my wallet can take much more!! )

I believe my first hikari was a gift from another amazing set of funatics, the NYCC exclusive Rainbow Dash hikari. At the time they came out I didn't have the financial support to spend on them

Who leaves their hikari in the boxes vs OOB? Mine are in box until I finish my new display and then they're coming out.

I love MLP! Funko's pop/vinyl line of MLP was one of the ones that began my obsession into all things Funko!! So far, I've managed not to buy any other Hikari other than the Rainbow Dashes, so my wallet's happy! I'm still waiting for a good deal on the Color Storm Hikari. Gemni had one a while back, but by the time I was ready to "pull the trigger", it was sold out! Still not interested in getting the original one - I like all the glitter and rainbow ones better! I leave mine in the box. I think I remember reading/hearing that RD doesn't really stand well on its own. I figure its much safer in the box - especially since I have a very nosy puppy!!
