MINI HIKARI: CLEAR GLITTER FREDDY FUNKO!

It sure seems that with mini hikari they really need to pump out higher #s to make the economies of scale work and make them cost efficient more so than some other lines so I'm sure we'll see plenty more of this sculpt.

I'm kind of surprised that this is still available. I guess the flippers don't want to test their luck with hikari, even mini ones.

I think that is just the natural effect of having a mold a company can take to the max. Molds are very expensive, if it's use can be maximized I totally get why a company would want to run with it as long as possible. Especially compared to where a pop could justify a 3K-10K run and still see variants, I fully expect a mini Hikari to see a few different runs at 1500 per color way.

Either way, it's great to see a Hikari piece getting some more mainstream love!

I see a lot of people saying they hope they see color variants, you may have missed it but this is a blurb from the Funko Shop email:

"keep an eye out for more variants to come"

Fingers crossed there is a glow version :-)

oooh a glow version would be amazing! I'd also really like to see like a bubblegum pink or turquoise or some other non-traditional colors. Of course I'd also like to see them air them out before boxing so they don't smell so horrid when we get them

And yes, a little bit more time breathing before going into the box would be great. The smell of Choppers & Greedos is just now finally fading away in my man-room... :-&

Agreed. It's especially true with Mini Hikari which is a new line and I am sure the development and mold costs are still high and will only gradually go down as they make more of them.

Hahaha! I'm strictly an in-box collector when it comes to mini Hikari. But it's because of the smell lol

Not yet here. I've had them sitting out in the basement for over a month.

I saw that people are getting emails that the shipment was partially destroyed but they will have replacements in August. Got my shipping confirmation earlier this morning so I guess I wasn't affected.

I had bad luck during that Chrome Retro Freddy situation when a ton were damaged, but somehow lucked out on this one. Got my shipping notification and seem to have gotten through alright!

In the name of science, crafts, and boredom, I unboxed and risked destroying mine in trying to make a stress ball squishie Freddy. Need to tweak it a bit but came out a lot better than expected for my first molding/squishie attempt.
