Freddy funko hikari (color spectrum) wont stand

Postby mikechickenhead » Mon Apr 02, 2018 10:27 am

Hey guys..any help would be awesome. My color spectrum freddy funko hikari was standing fine...but now its leaning forward a little too much for his big ol head and wont stay upright. Any ideas on how to fix him? If not he might have to go back in his box.

Dang falling forward is the worst because you can't just lean it up against something to fix it :(

I'm not sure how heavy he is, but museum putty should do the trick most likely.

I've occasionally had to use the little sticky back riser pads on a few of my Hikari to get them standing, though usually it's an issue right out of the box. Harley Quinn being the big offender there.

Getting them better better balanced might help with the growing lean.

Im not even sure how to correct this in the long run. The Bride leaned forward a little bit when we first got her, then continued to lean forward (derp gravity). We did the boiling water method to bend her ankles back safely, but over time it seems like the "memory" of the plastic came back and she started leaning again...

Hopefully it doesn't get any worse for you!

Here is a small video on how to fix bent legs. This method works 95 percent of the time for me. But even my freddy hikari is still off balanced, even after trying this, some won't stand properly regardless of how much you try to restructure their stance. I believe it's due to the multiple minor imperfections in the mold. I will have to use museum putty for this specific piece.

Thanks for this idea. I wonder if this will also work to earthquake proof?

Wont Earthquake proof but that is less of an issue up here than down your way. Those pads are great for figures that tend to lean and be tipsy but they do not stick to the surface. I used the Quakehold on my Mystery Minis that are in glass front shot glass cases where I don't have to work abut dusting them or rearranging them.

Mine falls over weekly. I have him on a top shelf too so then he falls in between shelves as he high-dives off the shelf. Will try those pads though!

My Marvin POP also falls over - so his current position is sleeping on his side :/

We thought ours was the only one! We have several of the mini hikaris and some of the full size Freddy hikaris and they love to lean. We are an OOB fam and its hard when these don't want to stay up right!

These work like a champ for balancing wobbly figures.
