If anybody has spare boxes they are not wanting to hold on to, i would suggest posting a list of what you have. many people, like myself, that collect in-box are often looking for replacement boxes. I had a flood destroy about 100 of my pop boxes and would love help replacing them

I really want to see my pops displayed out of the box but don’t want their value to go down. I guess if I never sell it shouldn’t matter, right?

Just my two cents...but keep the boxes. I think anytime you have a chance to keep some original items even empty boxes keep them.

Keep them!!!! They are nice displays on their own plus you can always fold them to reduce space.

I'd keep the boxes and see if there's a way you can flatten them.

Re: Should I keep my boxes or just toss em?
I toss everything. I did keep them for a while, but it got to the point where it was taking up too much space, and if I did ever need a box or wanted to organize, it was a pain in the butt.
Even my only Hikari is A/P, but I did at least save the card, just not the box! I did give away my older Disney boxes to someone who said it was worth the 5 hour drive to just collect the original Belle box. xD

break em down and put it in a closet somewhere if you can. it'll keep the value in case you decide to sell at a later point.

MorbidGee wrote:I keep all boxes. For Hikari, pops, vynl any and all. I fold them down and store them in Rubbermaid containers. The inserts I just stack them inside each other and keep them in order then the boxes are stacked separate. To keep the boxes flat and ensure they don't unfold, I wrap paper around them and use tape on top of the paper to strengthen them like a band
Great tip with the paper! I have used this a couple of times and it really does help!

I very very carefully open my pops using a ruler to pop the bottom flap, then I display the pop in front of its box, looks good!

I would say toss the Hikari boxes. I don't believe they will be as easy to store as the Pop boxes, which I do recommend flatting and saving.

If you need to keep warm during the winter and you have a fireplace, I say use it as firewood.

There are plenty of people who are in box collectors looking for boxes in FB groups - you could probably offer them up there. Especially if there are any older vaulted pop boxes.

I LOVE my Dorbz. But the boxes don't flatten as well as pop boxes and when you have as many as I do there is just no room to store empty Dorbz boxes. So yep into the recycling bin they went.

Since my collecting has switched to mainly signatures, I'm usually about keeping the box crisp and clean.
Then stuff like this happens...
Tragedy struck as a Kevin Eastman signed Raphael Hikari figure crossed paths with a feisty 2 year old earlier today.
Witnesses reported that the figure owner’s cries of shock were short lived upon witnessing the joyous laughter of the child.
When asked for comment, he merely said “Totally worth it, to make a new Turtle fan”
