Dorbz Display

Postby TanyaTate » Tue Jul 26, 2016 10:14 am

How are you displaying your Dorbz? I have not opened mine up yet. Holding off until I can figure out how I am going to display them, so looking to see what other people are doing :freddy2:

Curious to see what others are doing as well. I was planning on buying some real skinny shelves and hanging them on the wall in my room. I have a feeling my collection is going to grow really fast (it already has lol) so I'll need tons of room!

Here's my current setup, but I would like to do something different.

I've only just started collecting Dorbz but here's my display. I have absolutely no issue throwing out Dorbz boxes but I have every single Pop! box even for the ones displayed OOB.

I'm weird like that.

I need to organize mine. I would prefer to be oob, but the boxes are stackable and the art looks nice. :D

Side note: As much as I like the contents of multi-packs, they are awkward as hell to display.

I only have a small amount, but this is their current setup. Eventually I'll get more X-Men and some other randoms and have to spread out.
I did see some people using Shot Glass cases from Michaels, the slots are large enough for most Dorbz, although larger ones like Loki don't fit. I might give those a go...eventually.

I used slat wall for mine, and when I first started collecting them I thought it was way too much shelving. I was mistaken, haha. The front wall will be filled up by October-ish going by the upcoming releases lists.

Love this! I was using an old CD/DVD display shelf but packed everyone up to reorganize and find some higher ground as I've gotten a few that I want to keep in the box.

Upload to imgur and then just copy and paste the bbcode they provide. They make it quite easy.

I'm wondering if something like this might be a good idea...

https://www.amazon.com/Pinnacle-Black-Glass-Hinged-Front/dp/B007UPI5BO/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1469757031&sr=1-1&keywords=shot+glass+case

It looks decent and isn't too expensive. It's meant for shot glasses, but Dorbz are about shot glass sized. I did some quick calculations and I think one dorbz per section would fit. I'd have to be ready to go oob though lol

I think Loki's hat screws up everything related to smushing them into one of those. Thor, Penguin, and Hatter don't help much either.

I'm not ready to go OOB for my pops or Dorbz, unless the box is completely trashed.

I'd originally bought these drawer organizers to display my Pop!s and while some of the smaller ones seem to fit, I think I miscalculated the size. I sent all but one of them back because my Dorbz fit perfectly, even Loki when he came! I only kept one because at the time I was only planning to collect the Marvel ones and all of series one hadn't even been released. It fit twelve and I had no idea that I'd end up with every single Marvel one released after as well and more. I will probably order some more soon.

I'll take a photo and try to find the link when I get home in a few days!

Yeah I bought one of these, started loading my dorbz in...then i got to Eracibeth...cowboy deadpool, even beast...too big. so now they are all stockpiled in boxes in the closet until i can figure it out. starting to shrink my pop collection and then hopefully fit it all into my detolf.

Hah! Thanks! I love the rainbow Batman Dorbz! :D

That space was originally divided by a shelf. Realized I could fit more Pops and/or Dorbz there if I took out the shelf itself (does that make sense?! lol). It looks a little weird, but it's extra space! \:D/

This is an older photo, but you can see how it looks different than the rest:

Mine are all mixed in with their Pop counterparts right now. I think I want to buy some shelves to hang on the wall and just have a section for Dorbz now that they are multiplying. I love everyone's displays. You all are giving me so many ideas.

I'm looking for a good way to display Dorbz out of box as well. I wish the Michael's shot glass displays would work for them. I have a bunch of those from them I used to collect Vinylmation. But Dorbz are all different sizes and will not work. I have a idea I'm working on that might work. I'll post a pic if all goes well.

Well, I tired. I used this display I got from Michael's for military metals. I cut a piece of black Styrofoam board and use that as a shelf so I can get two rows of Dorbz. But they are all different sizes so taller ones couldn't fit. This will work for the shorter ones and it will look good. I guess I can just keep the taller ones on top of the display. ;-)
