Dorbz Packaging

Postby Spartan_423 » Sun Sep 11, 2016 3:45 am

As a huge Dobz collector, the first thing that caught my attention about them is their unique packaging. Their packaging is printed to each of their theme and not the same white box like Pops! This is one of the reasons why I started collecting Dorbz. Might sound crazy but their packaging alone stands out to me as an in box collector. The Dr. Strange ones coming out look amazing with the space/magic theme. Anyone else care as much as I do about the packaging? Lol

I like the Dorbz packaging as well mainly because of the front and back window. It allows us in-box collectors to see both sides of the figure.

I enjoy the themed packaging. They are pretty good at keeping it consistent, too. Only flaw I've noticed was the different metallic coloring behind the numbering on the GOTG Dorbz. Picky much? :P

I absolutely love the Dorbz packaging!!! The dual windows makes it great for in-box collectors to see the whole figure.

I've only dipped my toes in the Dorbz pool but I just noticed the other day there is only tape on the top of the box, not the bottom. Easy access if you wanna pull them out but the box technically stays sealed the way it came.

True. And the tape sucks in the first place. I've seen a ton in stores with that round piece of tape half-off already.

Some don't even have tape like Chef Pool. Some have oblong pieces. Some have rectangle.

In other words, I dunno wtf is up with the whole top tape idea.

I'm with you. The packaging "frames" the dorbz and provides a nice visual.

I collect Dorbz probably about 60% out of box (maybe more), but I love the boxes so much. They feel slightly more luxe and "designed."

I definitely agree with you. To be honest, I never put thought into it before this post; so thanks for posting!

The boxes look cool, but I'm OOB, so the boxes get tossed into the closet with the Pop boxes.

I like keeping mine in the packaging as well. Protects from dust and easier to display (not toppling over and falling off shelves).

I really like the double window and the pics on the sides. I'm glad they changed the XL packaging, too. It's more compact, but still shows the Dorbz off really well.

I only wish Ultron had a "correct" Dorbz box.

It was just a small box with no window. I've always felt if all Dorbz were packed like that the line would have failed already.

Youre probably right. The right packaging can make or break a product line.
