Dorbz at Walgreens

So I randomly walked into a Walgreens today and saw the spiderham and antman! Amazing!

Haha! It's amazing how young you are but your comic character tastes match mine exactly from the early 80's. I mean I'm still obsessed with those characters but you get what I mean.

I think I might buy up all the NES Jasons at the one WG that has him. Seems like the only way to get the merch moving. Being that he is exclusive, this Dorbz does have resale value (unlike the freaking Batman, Beauty and the Beast, Green Lanterns, and Mickey/Goofy that have been sitting for month).

Very true there was only 1 spiderham but 2 classic antman but I snatched all three.

I NEED Spider-Ham and I really want that Antman. First Dorbz I'm actively hunting. Only other Dorbz I wanted close to this was the SDCC X-men 3 pack.

What sucks is I've NEVER seen Dorbz in Walgreens, ever.

I've seen the TLJ Praetorian Guards, the WWE 2 pack and the Wedge Whatshisface deluxe...and no exclusive Dorbz. This is really starting to tick me off. If they can stock their exclusive Pops, then why not the Dorbz. ](*,)

I think the exclusive dorbz have to be ordered by the managers, they only do that once they run out of dorbz.

They are handled just like every other piece of merchandise in the store. When the stock level drops below the shelf minimum, the system automatically orders more. If they choose to, they can order more at any time, but the assortment they receive cannot be specified.

Checked four farther Walgreens last night. Found a couple fun things, but only leftover Taskmaster dorbz. None of the Batman, Hulk, Iron Patriot, Walking Dead, Spiderham, or Antman to be found. Will be making the rounds of the ten closest this week again.

They don't. My local Walgreens probably hasn't sold a single Pop in close to a year. I went in there over a 6-month period and they not only hadn't put out a single new Pop, but they hadn't even re-arranged the 8 that they had. In the last couple of weeks, they have simply added another 8 Pops, all Star Wars, to what they already had on the shelf. Still haven't seen them sell a single one. They got the Halloween display and I don't think there were ever any Pops on it, just other merchandise.

If I didn't have to go in there for prescriptions once in a while, I'd never step foot in a Walgreens. All of them seem to be the same around here. What's the point?

I know what you mean. What few Funko products they do have are in the toy aisle, which is smart compared to the other aisles. Now if I was looking for, say, Barbie, there are plenty.

Personally, I feel like trying to find Dorbz at Walgreens is like trying to win the lottery. In that case, I much rather win the lottery.

Shoot, if I find any Funko product at my local Walgreens without box damage to it from a security device, I look to the sky to see if the Horsemen of the Apocalypse are above.

I'd probably have a better chance of finding a chase Dorbz elsewhere than at Walgreens. A Walgreens exclusive is bad enough. But a Walgreens CHASE exclusive!? Madness! #-o

But I'm sure Barbie sells, that's why it gets so much shelf space. When you're thinking about buying collectibles, Walgreens is not at the top of your list. I'm sure that's why they got exclusives in the first place, to try to push traffic through the door, but when the general collectible buying public isn't going there to begin with and they only have limited shelf space, what can we expect them to do? The only reason anyone would ever go to a Walgreens for Funko is for the exclusives and I'm sure to get the exclusives, they had to agree to carry the general line, which means that they don't sell the general line, their shelves get clogged with product and they never restock.

It's a vicious circle.
