For months and months, this has been rumored. Is there anything truth to this at all?

This is news to me too, it would be cool to see but they had so many QC problems with the first batch of mega Dorbz that I'm doubtful they'll ever revisit them. I have one of the Batmans and Deadpools and they are impressive to be sure!

For those that don't know what happened last year, there were supposed to be a bunch of 18" Dorbz given away at Fundays. Rumor is that everyone present was going to get one. When the shipment arrived the quality was so poor that they only salvaged a small number of them and sent the rest off to be destroyed. Some were given out at Fundays and the rest sold on Gemini. I have a couple of them and they are not vinyl, they are a thin plastic shell. I wouldn't say they're fragile, but I can see shipping damage being an issue. Plus they were packed in plastic inserts and the inserts tend to chafe the paint off. All of the above makes me wonder if we'll ever see 18" Dorbz again.

What's strange is that it has popped up as on hold for a few months. It hasn't been cancelled...I wonder if they are giving the 18" dorbz another shot?

I only took them out of the boxed briefly to check them out, this is a pic I posted back then to show everyone how they compared size-wise to some 6" Pops and a regular Dorbz:

In that pic you can see one of the scuffs I was talking about, see the line around the top of the head, in the forehead area? That's from the top plastic box insert scuffing the paint.

I'm working on a room conversion (converting to a hobby/ display room) which unfortunately has been on hold a while. Once it's done I'll have a lot more display area and the two mega Dorbz will be part of that, so HOPEFULLY I can get all that knocked out this year and post pics :-)

They are, and the boxes they come in are gigantic! When I came home to those two things on my porch I was a little stunned lol

I expect Funko to increase the numbers this year. Except for the wheel of fortune, it went very smoothly and I can see the new format working for a much larger crowd. Funko is so popular now, they must allow a growing number to experience Fundays. I will not be surprised if attendance increases to 2000 this year ... and I think they can pull it off successfully. :bounce:

They changed venues last year and there is no reason they cannot upgrade again this year.
