Here's my advice for anyone disappointed with Funko news for NYTF or ANY event- just wait and be patient. I remember thinking during the 12 days of Christmas announcements that there was very little I was going to be interested in for 2017. Same with the London Toy Fair reveals, there just wasn't anything there that caught my attention. Ah, but then came the ECCC announcements and suddenly my bank account didn't look so safe after all. Then the NY Toy Fair announcements once again had me wondering if I would be saving a lot of money this year. But then the catalog pages leaked out with the news that there would be more GoT goodies, and Alien too. Then the announcement of SW Ridez today, and not just one but the promise of MANY. Suddenly I've gone from feeling financially safe to worrying about my bank account hemorrhaging money to Funko

I've been collecting Funko goodies for 2 years and this is how it always goes, sometimes there is a dry spell where some of us as individuals are not interested in the new offerings and other times we get slammed with so much amazing news that we're trying to decide whether to pay bills or pay Funko. This is how collecting goes, it's not linear. There are peaks and valleys. It ebbs and flows. Just ride with it, sometimes you'll be bored, sometimes you'll be thrilled. It's all part of the fun

I'm just going to jump in here with a comment as a way to unite everyone with their mutual dislike of me. HI everyone. I'm the worst.

Not trying to take the thread back to a dark place but I will say I have noticed that when anyone is outspoken about disappointment with anything, the slightest bit of negativity is almost immediately shut down, be it by 1 person or a dozen. And I agree with this when the person expressing said disappointment is unnecessarily rude or angry. But I also think Funko's customers should feel free to express their feedback on the product, no matter what sort of feedback it may be. I've seen plenty of comments here before that I thought came off in kind of a bad way but I certainly did not feel an incessant need to respond to it with my own feelings. I see things one way, you see them another way, but I don't feel the need to bicker about it. The short version of my statement is basically: let's mind our own business and keep things moving here. Cool? Cool.

People should absolutely feel free to respond with their honest opinion, but they should also do so with tact and respect. The ones who get "shut down" are typically people who are making it sound like Funko is doing something vindictive. As if Funko is taking time out of its busy day to make that person unhappy. If there's even a sense of entitlement, those are the people that get shut down the fastest.

I know that I've personally said some things that were critical of new releases, but I tried to say it in a constructive way. Nobody has ever tried to shut me up about it. And if something simply isn't up my alley because I'm not a fan of the license, I stay quiet. Nobody but me cares if I don't like specific TV shows or movies or certain characters
