Wow, I can remember the original gum (1953) as a kid (yes, I'm that old ). It was a lot thicker of a piece of gum and had a great taste to the end with no bad after taste. And as someone else said, when it lost it's flavor, we just added more pieces. It was also great for blowing bubbles.The texture was different from today's version which allowed for giant bubble blowing ... ahh, those were the days.
