In the cop episode Morty is fat, if you look at the pic above I think they were trying to mimic the chubby lines on his face. I do agree with you though, it makes him look old on the Dorbz rather than chubby.

Good point. They couldve done without the lines... not sure it really added anything.

To be fair to the artist, that Morty is supposed to be both old and chubby. It's not the C-137 Morty but rather one of many Mortys so he's not technically the same age. I think they did a great job on these Dorbz. Can't wait to pick them up.

No offense was meant to the artists. Dorbz are cute, and they arent going to be 1:1 accurate to the source. I was just saying, from an artists perspective, that the lines werent needed to pull this character off. I collect Dorbz, I'm looking forward to these as well.
